Finance Write For Us: Guest Post Guidelines

Yes, finance guest posts are accepted here, aimed at business owners, not institutional investors. Readers run small companies and care about cash flow, getting paid, pricing their work and year-end surprises. The accepted pieces explain money clearly to someone who runs a business rather than a balance sheet. Scary or generic finance content gets declined. Pitch a practical money problem you can make simple.

Finance content aimed at business owners is usually either terrifying or useless. If you understand money and can explain it to someone who runs a business rather than a balance sheet, our readers need you.

I’m Lilach Bullock. This blog reaches business owners, marketers and agencies, most of them running small companies. They care about cash flow, getting paid, pricing their work and not being caught out at year end. They are not institutional investors.

What We’re Looking For

Content that helps a business owner make a decision they will not regret:

  • Cash flow for small businesses, written by someone who has managed it
  • Pricing and profitability: how to work out what to charge
  • Getting paid: late payments, terms, and what actually works
  • Fintech and business banking, compared honestly
  • Tax and bookkeeping explained for a non-accountant
  • Funding a small business without losing control of it
  • The financial side of freelancing and consulting

No investment advice, no crypto speculation, no get-rich content. Practical business finance only.

Also accepting guest posts on small business and digital marketing.

What We Don’t Accept

  • Vendor marketing with a byline on it
  • Content published elsewhere
  • Affiliate round-ups with no real testing behind them
  • Anything written purely for a link, with no value to the reader

What You Get

  • Exposure to an engaged audience of business owners and marketers
  • A quality backlink from an established domain
  • Author bio with a link back to your website
  • Social media promotion across our channels

How to Submit

All guest post submissions go through our main submission page. Please read the full guidelines first:

What a strong finance pitch looks like

The pitches that get accepted here come from people who have actually done the thing, not people summarising what other people have written about it.

A weak pitch says “I would like to write about why cash flow matters.” A strong one says “I raised my prices by 40 percent across a client book of 22 people. Four left. Here is what happened to revenue and what I would do differently.” One is a brochure. The other is worth reading.

The angles that get accepted fastest

  • A real pricing change, with the numbers before and after
  • How a business fixed a cash flow problem it nearly did not survive
  • Late payment: the process that actually got invoices paid
  • Comparing business banking or accounting tools from real use
  • The financial mistakes that catch out first-time business owners

Frequently asked questions

How long should a guest post be?

Long enough to answer the question properly and no longer. In practice that is usually 1,200 to 2,000 words. Depth matters far more than word count.

How long does a decision take?

We aim to come back to you within a few working days. If the pitch is specific and clearly written, that decision is much faster.

Can I include a backlink?

One contextual backlink to your own site or a relevant resource is fine in an editorial post. More than that reads as link-driven rather than reader-driven.
