The short version: this page lists every original data study I have published and every free tool I have built. The studies use my own Search Console data or live Google results, publish percentages rather than raw counts, and are free to cite with a link to the study page. The tools run in your browser with no login. I add to this page as each new study or tool goes live.
Original research
Each study answers one question with data nobody else has, and each page carries a method section and a dataset description so the figures can be checked.
- AI Overviews Study 2026: Live Google results for 300 small business marketing searches: 93% show an AI Overview, YouTube is cited on 57%, Reddit on 20%, and what a page-one ranking under the AI box is now worth.
- Zero-Impression Pages Index Study 2026: 1,995 pages inspected one by one: 43% of pages that never appear in search are indexed anyway, 20% were crawled and rejected, 16% are unknown to Google, and the median last crawl was 47 days ago.
- What People Ask About Instagram in 2026: 5,282 real Instagram searches from 28 days of Search Console data: 54% are questions, Stories are more than half of the demand at a 0.21% click rate, and page-one positions 4 to 10 earn a click 0.44% of the time.
For local businesses, my AI Overviews study of 400 local service searches shows which websites Google's AI cites when people look for a plumber, a dentist or a solicitor.

How to cite
Quote the figure, name the study, and link to the study page. The datasets are published under a Creative Commons attribution licence. If you are a journalist and want the underlying tables or a comment, email [email protected].
My newest study, which pages Microsoft Copilot cites, covers 328,700 AI citations to one website over three months.
What is coming next
The Instagram questions study and the AI Overviews study are re-run quarterly, with the December 2026 editions showing the change. The zero-impression index study is repeated in December. New tools are added as the searches demand them.

Frequently asked questions
Can I use these figures in my own article?
Yes, with a link to the study page as the source. No permission needed.
Where does the data come from?
Google Search Console data for my own site, live Google results pulled through a search data provider, and one by one URL inspections. Each study's method section says which.
Why percentages and not raw numbers?
The raw traffic figures for my own site are private. Percentages and rates carry the finding without them, and they compare cleanly across quarters.
Are the tools free?
Yes. They run in your browser, store nothing and ask for no login.
