Yes, TikTok Shop is live in Mexico, with its own seller centre, a probation period and a standard settlement cycle of 7 days from delivery. Mexico is also one of eight countries where the Creator Rewards Program is open.
Mexico is the TikTok Shop market with the most official paperwork I could open, which makes it an easy place to be specific. The shop is live, creators there can use the Creator Rewards Program as well, and TikTok publishes both its probation rules and its settlement cycles. Here's how those fit together if you want to sell or earn in Mexico.
Mexico appears in three official TikTok lists
First, it's on the region menu of the TikTok Shop seller site, in the Americas section with the United States and Brazil. Second, it's one of only eight countries where the Creator Rewards Program is open. Third, TikTok's Earn abroad page lists Mexico as a new market from September of 2026, so US-based creators can opt in to sell eligible products to shoppers in Mexico.
That third one is worth thinking about. A seller in Mexico is competing for attention with creators elsewhere who can now promote similar products.
Registering a shop from Mexico
You register on the Mexico seller centre, so make sure the web address is the Mexican one. You can use an existing TikTok account through the QR code option, or a phone number or email with a verification code and password. Each phone number or email can register only one TikTok Shop account.
Sellers choose between corporate and individual. Corporate sellers enter company details and representative information. Individual sellers go through representative identity verification and ID verification. Then you add a store name and confirm your email and phone number. TikTok's page says the wait is generally between 2 and 6 days, and while you wait you can add shipping details, tax information and products.
I want to be careful here. Plenty of blogs list specific Mexican documents, such as a tax ID and a company deed. The TikTok page I opened doesn't name specific documents in its text, so I can't tell you for certain what your verification will ask for. Check the screens in your own seller centre.
The probation period catches new Mexican shops out
Every new shop starts on probation, and Mexico's rules are specific. A shop leaves probation automatically once all the following are true together: it has been open at least 30 calendar days, it has at least 100 completed orders, its seller-fault cancellation rate is below 5%, its late dispatch rate is below 8%, and its seller-fault return and refund rate is below 1.5%.
During probation, individual sellers are capped at 100 orders a day and corporate sellers at 200, with 300 listing uploads a day for both. After graduation the order limits go, but uploads are capped at 1,000 a day. Cancelled, returned or refunded orders don't count towards the 100.
When pesos reach your bank: Mexico's settlement cycles
The Mexican peso has the ISO code MXN, is issued by the Bank of Mexico and is divided into 100 centavos. TikTok's Mexico settlement policy doesn't state the settlement currency, but it does set three cycles, counted in calendar days from delivery:
- Standard settlement takes 7 days and is the default for new sellers.
- Express settlement takes 3 days, and depends on store performance: no milestone warnings, an SPS above 3.5 and no flagged risk.
- Deferred settlement takes 31 days and applies while TikTok Shop runs security checks.
Cycles are reviewed at the start of each month, and low-performing or high-risk sellers can have their periods extended at any time. On settlement day, completed orders show as available to withdraw in the finance menu, and you can send funds to your bank account. The policy says nothing about withholding tax, so ask an accountant who knows Mexican tax before you assume how it's treated.
Creators: affiliate and Creator Rewards
TikTok Shop affiliate creators earn rewards on products sold through their videos and LIVE streams without holding stock, for people aged 18 and over. Separately, Mexico is one of the eight countries for the Creator Rewards Program, which requires a Personal Account, an age of 18 or more, at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Qualified Creator Rewards views must come from where the programme is available, and Mexico is among them. TikTok doesn't publish a per-country rate, so I can't give you pesos per thousand views.

Mistakes I'd avoid
Don't treat the first month as a sales window. Treat it as the time you build a clean record: ship on time, avoid seller-fault cancellations and answer returns quickly. A shop that fails the cancellation or late dispatch thresholds stays on probation, and probation caps you.
If you're comparing Mexico with Europe's rules, my guide to TikTok Shop in Ireland shows how an EU launch handled ID and address checks, and the Vietnam registration rules give you a third model to compare.
