Meta Vibes: What the AI Video Feed Is and How to Create and Remix Videos

Meta Vibes is a feed of short-form, AI-generated videos inside the Meta AI app and on meta.ai. You can scroll videos made by creators and communities, make your own from a prompt or your own photos and clips, or remix someone else's by adding music, new visuals or a different style. Finished videos can go to the Vibes feed, to friends in a DM, or straight to your Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels.

The bit most people don't realise is that Vibes connects to Instagram. Meta says that if you see a Meta AI video on Instagram, you can tap through to remix it in the Meta AI app. So Vibes isn't a closed app on its own island. It's a creation tool that feeds the platforms you already post on.

How to create a video in Vibes

Meta describes three starting points, and the steps are the same idea for each:

  1. Open the Meta AI app (or meta.ai) and go to the Vibes feed.
  2. Pick your starting point. Write a prompt to start from scratch, work with photos or videos you already have, or choose a video from the feed to remix.
  3. Shape it. Meta's tools let you add new visuals, layer in music and adjust the style to match your taste.
  4. Share it. Post it to the Vibes feed, send it to friends, or cross-post it to your Instagram or Facebook Stories and Reels.

Meta frames remixing as the social heart of it. Its European launch post talks about remixing, co-creating and building stories with friends, rather than making one-off clips alone.

Remixing: what it means in Vibes

Remixing is taking a video that's already in the feed and making your own version. According to Meta, you can add music or change the style to make it yours. Because you can also jump into a remix from a Meta AI video you see on Instagram, a single clip can be reworked many times over by different people. If you're a creator, that's the reach angle: your video can become the starting point for other people's posts.

What else is in the Meta AI app

Vibes sits alongside the rest of the Meta AI app. Meta lists these features in the same app:

  • Chat with Meta AI for answers, advice or ideas.
  • Image generation and animation from a few words.
  • Image editing to enhance and transform your photos.
  • Managing AI glasses, including importing, editing and sharing content captured on them.

If you're weighing Meta's assistant against the others, my Meta AI vs ChatGPT comparison covers the chat side. If you'd rather keep Meta AI out of your other apps entirely, here's how far you can turn Meta AI off.

How big is it?

Meta gave two numbers when Vibes reached Europe. It said more than 20 billion images had been made with its AI tools, and that media generation inside the Meta AI app had jumped more than tenfold since Vibes first launched in the US. Meta also named Vibes as one of its headline AI launches in its 2025 round-up, next to the Meta AI app itself.

Is Vibes worth using for your business?

Here's how I'd think about it. Vibes is a feed of AI video, so it's a place to experiment rather than a place your customers are searching for you. The useful part for a small business is the export: you can make a short, styled clip and cross-post it to Instagram and Facebook Stories and Reels without leaving Meta's apps. That makes it a quick way to test a visual idea or a seasonal clip.

What I wouldn't do is use it to fake real-world footage of your product, your premises or your team. AI clips are fine for mood, ideas and fun. If you want more control over AI video for marketing, my roundup of where to create AI videos for free lists other tools worth trying.

What Meta says comes next

Meta says it's working with visual artists and creators on more powerful creation tools and models, and plans to roll them out more widely. It also says it'll keep expanding the Meta AI app with a goal of more personalised, social and advanced content creation for more people. So expect the editing options in Vibes to change, and check the app itself for what's live in your country.

My advice

Try it, but give it a job. Use Vibes to rough out a Reel idea, a background clip or a playful seasonal post, then cross-post the best one to Instagram or Facebook and see how your audience reacts. Keep anything that shows your real product or people as real footage. That way you get the speed of AI without confusing customers about what's real.
