The right Pro Rank Tracker alternative depends on what you need to measure: Google positions only, local results, or answers from AI assistants as well. Some options are dedicated daily trackers, some add AI visibility, and some are one part of a wider SEO suite. Ten follow in no particular order, each described from its own website.
Keyword lists, tags, competitors and report templates all have to move when you change rank tracker, so it's worth knowing what each replacement is built to watch before you start.
Pro Rank Tracker itself isn't in this list. Every description below comes from the vendor's own website, read as of Nov 2026.

Rank trackers now split over AI answers
Some tools still watch Google positions and nothing else, while others now also watch what AI assistants say. Pro Rank Tracker's own page lists the AI platforms it tracks: AI Overviews, AI Mode, Gemini, ChatGPT, Copilot, Perplexity and Grok. So if you're leaving it, the first question is whether the replacement covers the same ground.
The replacements don't all answer that the same way. SERPFox, a rank tracker that also watches AI assistants, offers on its page free use for 10 keywords and 3 AI prompts with no credit card. Seobility, an SEO suite, lists ranking monitoring in Google Search including AI Overviews on its page, and marks AI Visibility Tracking as coming soon. STAT, the enterprise option here, describes LLM and SERP tracking for agencies and big brands on its page. Those are the vendors' own words, as of Nov 2026, and they show how unevenly AI coverage has arrived.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
That matters for reporting. If a client asks why a competitor turns up in ChatGPT answers and they don't, a Google-only tracker can't tell you. If nobody's asking, you don't need to pay attention to that side yet.
Which entries are suites and which are trackers
- Dedicated rank trackers. Rankinity runs quick keyword position checks in Google, and Whatsmyserp keeps a daily record of positions with an archive of past performance.
- Rank trackers that also watch AI. Keyword.com and Nightwatch put rankings and AI tracking in one product. The free tracker and the suite quoted in the AI section above belong here too, with the suite's AI Visibility Tracking still marked coming soon.
- SEO platforms with tracking inside. Dragon Metrics and Moz Pro carry rank tracking within a wider SEO platform, and SISTRIX is a toolbox with a module for visibility in AI answers.
- Enterprise tracking. The LLM and SERP tracker for agencies and big brands quoted above, which starts with a demo request rather than a sign-up.
What to measure before you switch
- Google positions, local results or AI answers. Write down which of the three your reports need before you compare anything.
- Who reads the report. An SEO wants daily movement and SERP features. A business owner wants a short summary they can read on a phone. Look at a sample report before you look at anything else.
- Local precision. If you work with shops, clinics or trades, check whether the tool tracks at city or postcode level rather than country level.
- History. Ask whether you can import past data. If you can't, you'll lose the trend line your clients are used to seeing.
- Competitors. Most clients care where they sit against two or three named rivals, so check how competitors are added and shown.
- An API. If your reports are built in a dashboard tool, an API or export saves you copying numbers by hand.

Questions to put to any tracker vendor
- Which search engines and AI assistants do you track, and how often?
- Can I track by city or postcode as well as by country?
- Can I import my keyword history from the tool I'm leaving?
- Can I brand the reports and send them on a schedule?
- Is there an API or export for my own dashboards?

My advice on choosing a daily tracker
Choose by what you need to measure and who reads the report, not by keyword limits. If your clients only care about Google positions, a dedicated tracker does the job and keeps reports simple. If they're starting to ask about ChatGPT, Gemini or AI Overviews, pick a tool that watches AI answers now rather than one that says it's coming. And if the report goes to a business owner rather than an SEO, choose the one whose reports you'd forward without editing.
Then run two tools side by side for a couple of weeks on the same keywords. You'll see quickly which one fits the way you work, and you won't lose any history while you decide.

Frequently asked questions
What's a good alternative to Pro Rank Tracker?
It depends on what you measure. Dedicated trackers suit Google-only reporting, trackers with AI visibility suit clients asking about AI answers, and SEO suites suit teams that want audits and research in the same login.
Do these tools track AI answers as well as Google?
Some do. Several pages in this list describe tracking for AI Overviews and AI assistants, one marks it as coming soon, and others focus on Google positions only, as of Nov 2026.
Is there a free Pro Rank Tracker alternative?
One tool here offers free use with no credit card, and several offer a free trial, as of Nov 2026. Free terms change, so check the vendor's site before you move your keywords.
Should I pick a dedicated tracker or an SEO suite?
If rankings are the only thing you report on, a dedicated tracker is simpler. If you also run audits, keyword research or visibility reports, a suite keeps it all in one place.
Can I track local rankings with these tools?
Some of them, yes. At least two pages here mention local tracking, one down to city and ZIP-code level. If local results matter to your clients, test that first.
How do I move my keywords to a new tracker?
Export your keywords, tags and competitors from the tool you're leaving, import them into the new one, and run both for a few weeks so you keep your trend line while you compare.
