The best Advanced Web Ranking alternative for an agency is the one whose client reports you'd send without rework. Some options are full rank trackers with white-label reporting, some are SEO suites, and some are data feeds or software you host yourself. Ten follow in no particular order, each described from its own website.
This list is for agencies and consultants who're weighing a switch from Advanced Web Ranking (AWR).
AWR itself isn't in this list. Every description below comes from the vendor's own website, read as of Nov 2026.

White-label reporting is where they differ most
AWR's own page describes itself as a rank tracker with full AI search visibility and SEO reporting, so anything you replace it with needs to carry the reporting side too, not just the rank data.
The pages split clearly on that. AgencyAnalytics, a client reporting platform, lists on its page a White Label feature, with your logo, colours and custom domain, and a Client Portal. Nightwatch, a rank and AI tracker, lists automating white-label reports. SerpApi, a data feed, sells structured SERP data through an API rather than a reporting dashboard, and SEO Panel presents free SEO software you download and install. Those are the vendors' own descriptions, as of Nov 2026.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
So two of these tools hand your client a finished, branded report, and two hand you raw material you'll shape yourself. Both routes work. They just suit very different agencies.
Full trackers, suites, data feeds and self-hosted software
- Reporting-led trackers. The client reporting platform and the rank and AI tracker quoted in the white-label section above, both pairing tracking with white-label client reports.
- Rank trackers with AI visibility. Keyword.com tracks rankings, AI Overviews and AI assistant answers, and Morningscore gives daily rank updates with brand visibility in Google AI Overviews.
- SEO suites. Moz Pro, Ranktracker and the Ahrefs Rank Tracker each sit inside a wider set of SEO tools.
- Enterprise tracking. STAT describes LLM and SERP tracking for agencies and big brands, and starts with a demo request.
- A data feed. The search results API quoted above, for developers who'd build their own tracker.
- Self-hosted software. The free SEO software quoted above, which you download and install yourself.
What an agency should check first
- The client report. Ask for a sample. Check that your logo, colours and domain can replace the vendor's, and that the report reads well without you on a call to explain it.
- Client access. Some agencies want clients logging in to a portal; others would rather send a PDF. Decide which before you compare.
- Scheduling. Check whether reports can go out automatically, as at least one page here says its white-label reports can.
- Data you can take with you. An API or export lets you pull rankings into your own dashboards and keeps you free to move again later.
- AI visibility. If clients are asking about AI answers, check how each tool reports them, not just whether the feature exists.
- Setup time. Self-hosted and API routes mean more work up front. That's fine if you've got a developer and less fine if you haven't.
If you're also weighing other agency trackers, my AccuRanker alternatives cover a different set. For the data-feed route, my list of SERP APIs goes further, and my rank tracker guide explains which kind you need.
Five things to ask on a demo call
- Can I put my own logo, colours and domain on every report?
- Can clients log in to see their own data and nothing else?
- Can I import my ranking history from the tool I'm leaving?
- How do you show AI answer and AI Overview visibility in a report?
- Is there an API, and what does it return?
Do you make agency rank tracking or reporting software? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.
My advice for agencies leaving AWR
Pick on reporting and white-label features first and on tracking second. Most clients never see your rank tracker, they see the report it sends, so that's the part that has to be right. If you want a branded report and a client login, start with the reporting-led tools. If you've got a developer and like building your own dashboards, a data feed or self-hosted software gives you more control for more effort.
Whatever you choose, move one or two clients first. Run the new reports next to the old ones for a month, and only move the rest once you're happy with what clients see.

Frequently asked questions
What's the best Advanced Web Ranking alternative for agencies?
There isn't one answer. Agencies that want branded client reports should look at tools with white-label reporting and a client portal, while agencies with developers may prefer a data feed or self-hosted software.
Which alternatives offer white-label reports?
Several pages here mention white-label reporting, with logo, colours and custom domain options on at least one, as of Nov 2026. Ask for a sample report before you decide.
Is there a free alternative to Advanced Web Ranking?
One entry is free SEO software you download and install, and one data feed says its plans start free, as of Nov 2026. Both need more setup than a hosted tracker.
Can I build my own rank tracker instead?
Yes, if you've got a developer. A search results API gives you structured data you can store and chart in your own dashboard, but you'll build and maintain the reports yourself.
Do these tools track AI search visibility?
Many of them do in some form, from AI Overview tracking to AI assistant answers, as of Nov 2026. Check how each one shows it in a client report.
How do I move clients without losing their history?
Export your keywords and ranking history, import what the new tool accepts, and run both side by side for a month so clients keep a continuous trend line.
