YouTube TV offers Spanish-language TV two ways. The Spanish Plan gives you 28+ Spanish-language networks for $24.99 a month plus tax, without a YouTube TV membership. Spanish Plus is an add-on with 25+ extra Spanish networks that you buy on top of a YouTube TV plan, and YouTube TV's plans page lists its extra Spanish networks add-on at $14.99 a month as of October 2026.
Which one you need depends on whether you also want YouTube TV's English-language lineup. If you only watch in Spanish, the Spanish Plan is the cheaper route. If your household wants both, Spanish Plus sits on top of a main plan.
Spanish Plan vs Spanish Plus
| Spanish Plan | Spanish Plus add-on | |
|---|---|---|
| Needs a YouTube TV plan? | No | Yes |
| Spanish-language networks | 28+ | 25+ additional networks |
| Price (Oct 2026) | $24.99 a month plus tax | $14.99 a month on top of your plan |
| English-language channels | Not included | Your YouTube TV plan's channels |
| Who it suits | Spanish-only households | Bilingual households |
YouTube TV's add-on page describes Spanish Plus as extra Spanish networks for telenovelas, live sports and more, and says prices vary, so check the price shown in your account before you buy.
How to sign up for the Spanish Plan
You can buy the Spanish Plan if you're not already on a YouTube TV plan. From a computer:
- Go to tv.youtube.com.
- Sign in with your Google Account.
- Select your profile photo, then Settings.
- On the Membership tab, scroll to Spanish Plan.
- Select ADD to complete your purchase.
How to add Spanish Plus to YouTube TV
If you already have YouTube TV, add Spanish Plus the same way as any add-on network: go to Settings, then Membership, and select ADD next to it. YouTube TV's sign-up help also says new subscribers can try extra networks such as Spanish Plus during a trial before adding them for good.
Try it before you commit
YouTube TV says new subscribers can try extra networks such as Spanish Plus during their trial before adding them to the membership. Trials for add-on networks have their own sign-up and billing, and you start them from your YouTube TV account Settings. Trial lengths vary, so check the days left under Settings, then Membership.
How the add-on is billed
If you add Spanish Plus partway through a month, YouTube TV says you pay a prorated amount for the days up to your next billing date. After that it's billed together with your monthly membership. So adding it mid-month doesn't mean paying for a full month twice.
Switching between the two without paying twice
This is where people end up with both by mistake. YouTube TV's help gives these routes:
- From Spanish Plan to Spanish Plus: sign up for a YouTube TV plan, then under Membership select International and add Spanish Plus. YouTube TV then recommends removing the Spanish Plan from your subscriptions.
- From Spanish Plus to Spanish Plan: YouTube TV calls this unbundling. You leave the YouTube TV plan and subscribe to the Spanish Plan on its own.
The step to remember is removing the old one. If you add Spanish Plus and forget to drop the Spanish Plan, you're paying for Spanish networks twice.
Local channels are a separate question, answered in my page on YouTube TV local channels.
Set the app itself to Spanish
Separate from the channels, YouTube TV says you can set up the YouTube TV app in Spanish. That changes the menus, not the programmes, so an English-language plan with a Spanish app is also possible.

What you keep on the Spanish Plan
YouTube TV's plans page says its standalone network options still come with YouTube TV's features, and it names the Spanish Plan as one of them. So you're not getting a cut-down app just because you skipped the main plan. For the wider rules on recordings, see how recording works on YouTube TV.
My verdict
If nobody at home watches English-language TV, take the Spanish Plan at $24.99 plus tax and skip the main plan entirely. If you want local English networks and sport too, a YouTube TV plan plus Spanish Plus is the bilingual setup, and the main plan prices are in the YouTube TV cost guide. Whichever you choose, remove the one you're leaving so you're not billed for both.
