A YouTube description generator builds a full description from your topic and goal, with a hook, a summary, a timestamps section, your links, a subscribe prompt and hashtags, which is the structure YouTube and viewers both reward. Type your topic, pick your goal, and copy the description. It runs in your browser and needs no sign-up.

Why the description does more than you think
YouTube reads your description to work out what the video is about and who to show it to, and viewers read the first two lines to decide whether to click. So those two jobs, ranking and the click, both start here. A good description leads with the promise, gives timestamps so people can navigate, and puts the links and the subscribe ask where they belong. This tool writes that skeleton so you only fill in the specifics.

Frequently asked questions
What should a YouTube description include?
A strong first line that repeats the promise of the video, a short summary, timestamps so viewers can jump around, the links you mention, a reason to subscribe, and a few relevant hashtags. The first two lines matter most because they show in search and above the fold before anyone clicks show more.
How long should a YouTube description be?
Long enough to cover the summary, timestamps and links, usually 150 to 300 words. YouTube reads the description to understand the video, so real, relevant detail helps. Padding it with keywords does not, and stuffing tags into the description reads as spam.
Do timestamps really help?
Yes. They add chapter markers on the progress bar, which improves the viewing experience and can win chapter links in search. Start at 00:00 with an intro label, then mark each section. This tool leaves a placeholder so you can drop your real times in.
Does this description generator use AI or store my data?
No. It runs in your browser and assembles the description from proven parts and your inputs, so nothing is sent or saved. Treat it as a strong template, then edit it into your own voice.
Where do hashtags go in a YouTube description?
At the end, three to five that genuinely describe the video. The first three also show above the title. Do not add more than fifteen, because YouTube ignores all of them if you overload the description.
