10 Million Subscribers YouTube Income in India (2026): Every Stream and Who Pays It

YouTube publishes no income figure for 10 million subscribers. At that size an Indian channel is paid through several separate products, each with its own share, as of November 2026: 55% of net long-form ad revenue, 45% of the Shorts Creator Pool allocation, 70% of net membership and Super Chat revenue, plus a YouTube Premium pool.

The useful question at 10 million isn't what the channel makes. It's which streams exist, what share YouTube states for each one, and who sends you the money. The 10 million milestone itself brings the Diamond Creator Award, which carries no payment. Here's the map, built only from YouTube's own pages.

Why there's no figure for 10 million subscribers

YouTube's earnings overview says there are no guarantees about how much or whether you'll be paid, and that earnings come from a share of advertising revenue from viewers watching your videos. Subscribers don't appear in the formula, at any size. A 10 million channel that's gone quiet can earn less than a much smaller one that uploads every week.

And at this size, a lot of the income doesn't come from YouTube at all. That's why the map matters more than any single number.

The revenue-stream map for a 10 million channel

Read the last row carefully. For many large channels, it's a big part of the business, and YouTube's numbers will never show it. If you want the full list of ways creators earn, I've written about how YouTubers make money across every stream.

Premium and the 2027 change

Premium is its own pool, separate from ads. YouTube's change page says that from 1 February 2027 Premium Lite expands to all countries where Premium is available. Creators will share in a pool representing 60% of net subscription revenue for Premium Lite, and a pool representing 30% of net subscription revenue for Premium views. YouTube adds that, on average, creators earn more per user from Premium than from ads, based on 2026 performance.

Two practical points for a big channel. The updated Partner Program terms must be reviewed and accepted in YouTube Studio by 31 January 2027 to keep fully monetising. And from the same date, sharing in the Shorts Creator Pool each month needs 10 million qualified Shorts views over the last 90 days. Missing that bar doesn't remove you from the programme and doesn't touch long-form earnings, but it does switch off that month's Shorts pool money.

Who sends the money: YouTube or your network

This is the detail that surprises people. If your channel is an affiliate of a multi-channel network, or MCN, YouTube's earnings page says it doesn't pay you directly. YouTube issues payment to the MCN, and the MCN is responsible for paying its affiliate channels.

So if you're with a network, your income depends on two things: YouTube's share, and whatever split your agreement with the network sets. That second part isn't on any YouTube page. If you're independent, the money comes straight to your AdSense for YouTube account, and for India that means a wire transfer. The bank-side details are in my guide to AdSense payments in India, so I won't repeat them here.

What the RPM line in Analytics leaves out

YouTube's ad revenue analytics page says RPM combines ads, channel memberships, YouTube Premium revenue, Super Chat and Super Stickers, after YouTube's revenue share. It also lists what RPM doesn't include: merch revenue, brand deals and paid promotions (except YouTube Creator Partnerships), and services such as consulting.

For a channel with 10 million subscribers, that exclusion list can be the bigger half of the income. So when someone works out a big creator's earnings from views and an RPM, they're only counting what YouTube pays. The cheque from a brand isn't in there. RPM is also lower than CPM by design, since CPM is the advertiser's cost per 1,000 impressions before the share. I've explained the difference in my guide to YouTube CPM.

The Diamond Creator Award, and what can block it

At 10,000,000 subscribers YouTube offers the Diamond Creator Award. It's given at YouTube's discretion after a review. The channel must be active, with uploads in the last 6 months, have no active Community Guidelines violation and none in the last 365 days, not be rejected or suspended from the Partner Program, and have mainly original content. YouTube adds that channels focused on compilations, mixes, curation or heavy use of someone else's copyrighted content may be ineligible.

You'll get a notification in Creator Studio within 10 days of the milestone, the award takes 2 to 4 weeks to build and ship, and customs duties or taxes are yours to pay. It's a trophy, not a payment. Beyond it sits the Red Diamond Award at 100,000,000 subscribers.

The rule that applies at every size

No subscriber count protects your income. YouTube's Partner Program page says channels lose monetisation when they break the monetisation policies, whatever their watch hours and subscriber count. At 10 million, that's the biggest single risk on the map, because every YouTube-paid row depends on it.

My verdict on 10 million subscribers

I'd map the streams before comparing income to anyone: which rows you earn from, whether YouTube or a network pays you, and how much sits outside YouTube in brand deals and merch. Then I'd skip any claim of a rupee figure per million subscribers. YouTube doesn't publish one, and at this size the parts that matter most aren't in YouTube's numbers anyway.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a YouTuber with 10 million subscribers earn in India?

YouTube doesn't publish a figure. Income comes from several products with different shares, such as 55% of net Watch Page ad revenue as of November 2026, plus brand deals and merch outside YouTube.

Does YouTube pay creators in an MCN directly?

No. YouTube's earnings page says it pays the multi-channel network, and the network is responsible for paying its affiliate channels.

Does RPM include brand deals?

No. YouTube says RPM doesn't include merch revenue, brand deals and paid promotions (except YouTube Creator Partnerships) or services such as consulting.

How does YouTube Premium pay creators from 2027?

From 1 February 2027, creators share a pool representing 30% of net subscription revenue for Premium views and 60% for Premium Lite.

What award do you get at 10 million subscribers?

The Diamond Creator Award, reviewed at YouTube's discretion. Channels built on compilations or heavy use of others' content may be ineligible, and the award carries no payment.
