Wix gives a full refund on a new Premium or Studio site plan if you cancel within 14 days of buying it, but domains, Google Workspace business email and plan renewals aren't refundable under that policy. If you're the one giving refunds, you can refund most customer orders straight from Orders in your Wix dashboard.
Those are two different jobs, so this page covers both: getting your own refund from Wix, and refunding the people who buy from you. The detail that surprises people on the first side is timing. Wix's 14-day window only counts from a new purchase. A renewal or an upgrade of a plan you already have doesn't qualify, even if you cancel the same day it renews.
Wix's own refund windows
| What you bought from Wix | Refund policy, as of October 2026 |
|---|---|
| New Premium or Studio site plan, monthly or yearly | Full refund if cancelled within 14 days |
| Plan renewal or upgrade of an existing plan | Not covered; you can contact Wix to ask for a review |
| Domain | Non-refundable; turn off auto renew and it expires at the end of the period |
| Google Workspace business email | Non-refundable |
| Gemini for Workspace add-on | Non-refundable, but there's a 30-day free trial |
| Mobile App Premium plan | Refund within the first 30 days from initial purchase |
| Google Ads with Wix | Within 14 days of a first monthly subscription, or of unused one-time ad credits once the campaign has ended |
| Facebook and Instagram Ads with Wix | Within 14 days of a first monthly subscription, for remaining ad credit once the campaign has ended |
How a site plan refund works
You get the refund by cancelling the plan within the first 14 days. The funds go back to the payment method you used, and Wix asks you to allow up to 45 business days. The plan switches off immediately when you cancel, so you lose Premium features like removing Wix ads and using your own domain straight away.
Very early cancellations look different on your statement. Cancel within 72 hours and the charge may simply drop off within 20 business days instead of appearing as a refund. Cancel within the first 24 hours and the payment might have been voided, so no refund shows at all. Either way, you haven't been charged.
After the 14 days, cancelling turns off automatic renewal and the plan stays active until it expires. Your site isn't deleted. It goes back to the free version, with Wix ads, up to 500MB of storage and bandwidth, and a wixsite.com address. If you're unsure whether you'll keep paying, my guide to the Wix free trial explains how far you can get before you buy.
A couple of other answers from Wix's FAQ: a plan starts the moment you buy it, and you can't pause or delay it. If you bought the wrong plan, you can switch to another plan or billing period, and moving to a cheaper one credits you the difference. Wix also says it isn't responsible for bank charges, commissions or overdrafts.
Refunds on ads and apps
Ad refunds have one extra step. For Google Ads or Facebook and Instagram Ads with Wix, you must pause and end the campaign before a refund can go through, and only the credit left after pausing is refunded. Renewals aren't refundable. If you only want one month, Wix's advice is to turn off auto renewal right after your first purchase. Credits with an expiry date can still expire while a campaign is paused.
For the Mobile App Premium plan, cancel from Subscriptions in your Wix account using the More Actions icon next to Mobile App Premium. Refunds may take up to 20 business days, and Wix doesn't cover any fees for your Apple or Google developer accounts.
If you've asked Wix to review a refund, the request sits as Pending on the Refund Request page until there's a decision. If it disappears, look for an email from wix.com telling you whether it was accepted or denied.
Refunding your own customers
On the selling side, refunds in the dashboard cover Wix Stores, Wix Bookings, Wix Restaurants Orders and Wix Donations, with Pricing Plans being added. Wix says you can now refund orders from almost all payment providers in the dashboard, including Wix Payments.
- Go to Orders in your site's dashboard and click the order.
- Click More Actions at the top right and select Refund, or Cancel and refund for a store order the customer no longer wants.
- Tick the items to refund. For a partial refund, enter the amount.
- Untick Update inventory if you won't restock the item.
- Choose whether to send the customer a confirmation email with a note.
- Click Refund, then Issue Refund. This can't be undone.
To cancel an unpaid store order you can't fulfil, use Cancel Order from the same menu.

Payments Wix can't refund for you
- Manual payments by cash, cheque or phone app: refund outside Wix, then mark the order as refunded in the dashboard.
- PayPal: turn on advanced features under Accept Payments before you can refund from Wix.
- Providers the dashboard can't process: refund in that provider's account and the Wix status updates itself.
- Gift cards and Wix Bookings services paid with a membership plan can't be refunded.
A refund marked Pending is still processing, which can take seconds or days depending on the provider. Once it's completed you can refund more of a partial balance. Wix doesn't charge a fee, though your payment processor may.
Cancelled events
For a ticketed event, switch on the cancellation email first, then cancel the event so no more tickets sell. Refunds go through each order's original payment provider one by one from the event's Orders tab. With a long guest list, export it to CSV to track who you've refunded. You can also reschedule instead.
My take on Wix refunds
I'd treat the 14 days as your real trial: build on the free plan first, buy when you're ready, and put a reminder in your diary before day 14. Don't count on getting a domain or business email back. And if you sell on Wix, set up PayPal's advanced features before the first refund request lands, not after.
Refunds and order admin are routine, rule-based work that's easy to put on autopilot. I run AI training and workshops for teams, and help businesses with AI enablement and workflow automation, so the busywork runs itself and people get time back. Most of that work is with SaaS marketing teams and small businesses. Here's how we can work together.
