No, Ghana isn't on TikTok's published list of TikTok Shop regions, so there's no Ghanaian seller registration. Ghanaian creators can still use TikTok to grow an audience and sell through their own channels.
In Accra or Kumasi you can scroll TikTok all day and never see a Shop tab with a Ghanaian seller behind it. That's not a glitch on your phone. Ghana isn't on TikTok's published list of seller regions. I'll lay out what that means, what TikTok and Ghanaian officials have said about paying creators here, and where Ghanaian sellers can put their effort in the meantime.
Ghana and TikTok's published seller list
TikTok runs a seller site with a region menu. The menu names three Americas markets, eight Asian ones (including a separate Global Selling site) and nine European ones. Ghana, like the rest of West Africa, isn't named on it. So there's no Ghanaian seller registration page, no local business documents to submit and no cedi payout schedule for a Ghana shop.
I want to be careful with wording. I'm reporting that Ghana is not on TikTok's published list. I'm not saying TikTok has banned Ghanaians or that a launch will never happen. I couldn't find any official TikTok statement about a Ghana shop, either way.
The payments story Ghanaian creators should know about
The most Ghana-specific news I found is about how money would reach creators. In 2025, Ghana Commercial Bank officials met Communications Minister Samuel Nartey George. They proposed that the bank become a direct payment channel for TikTok creators in Ghana, using its Visa and Mastercard connections to pay through cards, mobile money and bank deposits.
The bank's argument, reported by Net Influencer, was that third-party payment processors take a cut of creator earnings. TikTok's West Africa representative, Tokumbo Ibrahim, responded positively and committed to reviewing feasibility while making sure local rules were followed. The same report says the proposal wasn't approved at that point. I haven't found a later update, so I can't tell you it has gone live.
The lesson for you: where TikTok does pay creators, the route for getting cedis into a Ghanaian account is already a live topic, and it's worth watching.
Why TikTok's view-based payouts skip Ghana
TikTok's Creator Rewards Program pays for qualified views on longer videos. It's open in eight countries, and Ghana isn't one of them. A TikTok Sub-Saharan Africa executive, Boniswa Sidwaba, told ITWeb in 2025 that it's wrong to say Africa has been deliberately excluded, and the article notes there's no Creator Fund for African creators.
If a screenshot online shows someone in Ghana receiving a view-based payout, ask where the account is registered. TikTok says you must be based in one of the listed countries and have an account registered there.
Where the cedi comes in
The cedi (GHS) is Ghana's currency, issued by the Bank of Ghana and divided into 100 pesewas. If you ever receive dollars or euros from an overseas brand or a TikTok payout, the conversion into cedis is where fees bite. Ask your bank or mobile money provider about the rate and charges before agreeing to a deal, and keep records so a Ghanaian accountant can explain the tax position, which TikTok's pages don't cover.

What a Ghanaian seller or creator can do now
- Use TikTok to build an audience and send people to your own order channel, such as WhatsApp or an Instagram shop, where you control the payment.
- Pitch Ghanaian brands for paid videos. Payment is agreed between you and them, and it doesn't depend on a TikTok programme.
- Check Creator Tools in the app for LIVE. TikTok says you must be 18 or the age of majority in your country, and that cash-out options depend on region, so only your account can confirm what's switched on.
- Keep an eye on TikTok's seller region menu. If Ghana appears, that's the first official sign.
Other platforms may suit you better right now. I've written up how YouTube pays creators in Ghana, and what's open to a Ghanaian page on Facebook. Whichever you choose, set up the payout method first and test it with a small amount, because a payout that can't reach your Ghanaian bank or mobile money wallet is only a number on a screen.
Sellers: how other countries on the list differ
A country on the list has its own page with seller types, local documents and rules about what you may sell. For a sense of what that looks like, my guide to TikTok Shop in Germany walks through the German version, and Australia shows another case where a country isn't listed.
