TikTok doesn't pay creators in Nepal anything per 1,000 views, because Nepal isn't one of the countries where the Creator Rewards Program runs. Money from TikTok in Nepal comes through LIVE Gifts and Diamonds, Subscription and brand work, paid out to a bank or PayPal account where your region allows it, never as a per-view rate.
I get this question from Nepali creators more than almost any other: you've got a video doing well, the views keep climbing, and you want to know what each 1,000 of them is worth in rupees. The honest answer is shorter than most videos on the subject suggest, and then there's a more useful part about what does pay.
Why Nepal gets no TikTok per-view payment
TikTok's per-view money comes from one place: the Creator Rewards Program. TikTok's own Creator Academy says the programme is open to creators in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil, and that you must be based in one of those countries with an account registered there. Nepal isn't on that list, so a creator living in Kathmandu or Pokhara can't apply, whatever their follower count.
There's a second detail that matters even for Nepali creators who move abroad later. A view only counts towards Creator Rewards if it comes from one of those same eight countries. So a video watched mostly by people in Nepal wouldn't earn per-view rewards even on an eligible account. That's why any figure you see quoted for TikTok earnings per 1,000 views in Nepal is guesswork: TikTok publishes no such rate, and the programme behind per-view pay doesn't operate there.
The ban and what changed when TikTok returned
Nepal is one of the few countries where TikTok has been switched off completely. A ban began on November 13, 2023, and it was lifted in August of 2024 after TikTok reached an agreement with the authorities to help identify misuse of the app in real time. Plenty of Nepali creators lost months of momentum during that gap, and some rebuilt on YouTube or Facebook instead.
The return of the app didn't bring a payment programme with it. What came back was the audience, the For You feed and the creator tools. That's still valuable, but it means your income plan in Nepal has to be built on routes other than per-view rewards.
TikTok features that can pay a Nepali creator
LIVE Gifts and Diamonds
You need to be 18, or the age of majority in your country, to go LIVE. Viewers send virtual Gifts, you collect Diamonds, and TikTok converts those at a rate it sets itself. TikTok's Going LIVE guide says rewards go to an external bank or PayPal account depending on your region, so check the Balance page in your own app to see which options appear for Nepal before you plan around it.
Subscription
Subscribers pay you a monthly fee that you set from TikTok's price tiers, and TikTok says creators receive 70% of the revenue after app store fees. Fans pay in their local currency. Whether Subscription is open to your account shows up in TikTok Studio under Monetization.
Brand campaigns
Local brands in Nepal pay creators directly for videos, and TikTok One is the platform's own hub for brand campaigns. A direct deal is often the biggest single payment a Nepali creator earns from the app, because it doesn't depend on any programme being open in your country.
How money reaches you in Nepal
The Nepalese rupee is the official currency, issued by the Nepal Rastra Bank, but TikTok rewards don't arrive in rupees by default. TikTok says the payout currency depends on the payment method you pick, a minimum payout threshold can apply, and the maximum varies by region. Before your first withdrawal, finish the payment setup: a payment method, your tax information and identity verification. Without those, no payout date appears.
TikTok also says rewards may be taxable under your local laws and that it can't give personal tax advice. For your own position in Nepal, a local accountant is the right person to ask.
What 1 million views in Nepal can lead to
A video with a million views in Nepal earns nothing automatic from TikTok. What it can do is prove to brands that you reach people. Screenshot your analytics while the numbers are fresh, especially audience location and age, and use them when you pitch. If a big share of your viewers sits outside Nepal, mention that too, because brands selling abroad care about it.

Routes outside TikTok that work from Nepal
This is where Nepal looks different from its neighbours. Nepal is on the YouTube Partner Program list, so long videos and Shorts on YouTube can earn ad revenue there. It isn't on YouTube's expanded programme list, and channel memberships and Super Chat aren't available in Nepal. Google's payment table shows checks and wire transfers for Nepal, not EFT, and the rupee isn't among AdSense's listed payment-threshold currencies. My guide to how YouTube pays per 1,000 views in Nepal covers that route step by step.
Many creators in Nepal also mix content with freelance or remote work. If that's you, my list of online jobs you can do from Nepal is a good place to start.
| Income route | Open to creators in Nepal? | What I checked |
|---|---|---|
| TikTok Creator Rewards Program | No | TikTok Creator Academy country list |
| LIVE Gifts and Diamonds | Check your Balance page | TikTok Going LIVE guide |
| Subscription | Check TikTok Studio | TikTok Subscription guide |
| TikTok Shop | Nepal isn't in the seller site's region menu | TikTok Shop seller site |
| YouTube Partner Program | Yes | YouTube availability list |
My advice for Nepali creators is simple: treat TikTok as your shop window, LIVE and brand deals as your TikTok income, and YouTube as the place where views turn into ad money.
Frequently asked questions
Does TikTok pay Nepali creators for views?
No. Per-view pay comes from the Creator Rewards Program, which TikTok runs only in the United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. Nepal isn't included.

No. A ban began on November 13, 2023 and was lifted in August of 2024 after TikTok agreed to help the authorities identify misuse of the app in real time.
Can I earn from TikTok LIVE in Nepal?
LIVE Gifts turn into Diamonds that TikTok converts at its own rate. You must be 18 or the age of majority. Check the Balance page in your app to see which payout methods appear for Nepal.
Will a VPN make me eligible for Creator Rewards?
No. TikTok says you must be based in an eligible country with an account registered there, and accounts that tamper with the programme are disqualified.
