Online Surveys That Pay in Pakistan: Honest Review

The short version: Survey sites can earn you pocket money in Pakistan, roughly 1,000 to 4,000 PKR a month if you are consistent, but the big-name platforms like Swagbucks and Survey Junkie either don't accept Pakistani accounts or route you into endless "sorry, you don't qualify" screens. The ones that pay out through local methods tend to be smaller, slower, and mixed in with other task types rather than pure survey apps.

Why this topic is messier than most "make money online" posts admit

Most of what you'll read on this topic is written by someone who has never tried to cash out from Lahore or Karachi. They list Swagbucks, Toluna, and Pinecone Research, quote the US dollar rates, and move on. The problem is payment access. Swagbucks pays via PayPal or gift cards, and PayPal in Pakistan has been a mess for years, with no official PayPal business account support and workarounds that involve third-party services taking a cut. Pinecone Research barely recruits from Pakistan at all. Toluna will let you sign up but then serves you survey after survey that disqualifies you two questions in, which wastes thirty minutes for zero pay.

I work with small businesses and marketers across the UK, US and Australia on AI and digital strategy, and I get asked a lot about "real" ways to earn online from places where payment infrastructure is patchy. Surveys are the most oversold category in that whole conversation. They are not a bad option, but they are a slow one, and anyone telling you that you'll make a reliable second income from filling in questionnaires is not being straight with you.

What pays, and what the money really looks like

Here is the uncomfortable bit nobody writing these roundup posts wants to say clearly: the survey sites that do pay Pakistani users well are usually reward aggregators, not pure survey platforms. Freecash, for example, bundles surveys in with offers, app installs, and small tasks, and pays out through JazzCash and Easypaisa, which is the part that matters here because those are the two wallets most Pakistani users can use without a workaround. I've covered this specific platform in more depth in my Freecash app review for Pakistan and India, and the short version is that surveys alone on it are inconsistent, some weeks there are several available, other weeks almost none, so you end up relying on the task and offer side to keep earning steady.

Google Opinion Rewards is the other one people ask about constantly, mostly because it's from Google and feels trustworthy. The reality is more limited than people expect, and I've gone into exactly what's available and what isn't in my piece on Google Opinion Rewards in Pakistan. It pays in Play Store credit, not cash, which is fine if you buy apps or games but useless if you need actual money in your JazzCash wallet.

A worked example, so the numbers are concrete

Say you run a basic test for one calendar month. You sign up to three platforms: one pure survey site, one reward aggregator with surveys built in, and one task app that includes occasional surveys. You commit to twenty minutes a day, every day, for thirty days, so ten hours total.

  • Pure survey site: you complete 40 full surveys out of roughly 150 attempts, because most disqualify you. Average payout per completed survey is 15 to 40 PKR equivalent. Total: around 1,100 PKR.
  • Reward aggregator (surveys plus tasks): surveys contribute maybe 800 PKR, but tasks and small offers add another 1,800 PKR, because the platform fills gaps when surveys run dry. Total: around 2,600 PKR.
  • Task app with occasional surveys: surveys are rare, maybe five all month, contributing 200 PKR, but regular tasks bring in 1,500 PKR. Total: 1,700 PKR.

Across ten hours of work over the month, that's roughly 5,400 PKR combined, or about 540 PKR an hour if you average it out, though in practice the aggregator route paid noticeably better per hour than the pure survey site because disqualification time is dead time you never get paid for. That disqualification problem is the single biggest reason survey-only income disappoints people, and it's rarely mentioned up front.

Step by step: how to get started without wasting a week

  1. Pick one reward aggregator with local payout support (JazzCash or Easypaisa) rather than three random pure survey sites. Consistency beats spreading yourself thin.
  2. Fill out your profile completely and. Platforms match surveys to your demographic data, and a thin or inconsistent profile is the top reason people get kicked out of surveys after two questions.
  3. Set a daily cap of 20 to 30 minutes. Survey fatigue sets in fast and the hourly rate drops the longer you sit with it.
  4. Track every session in a simple notes app: time spent, amount earned, platform. After two weeks you'll know exactly which platform is worth your time and which isn't.
  5. Once you hit the minimum payout threshold, usually 500 to 1,000 PKR equivalent depending on platform, cash out straight away rather than letting balances sit. Some platforms have had account closures that wipe uncashed balances.

Where surveys fit next to other earning apps

If you're building a stack of earning apps rather than relying on one, surveys work best as the slow, background layer while something like ad-watching apps or task apps fills the gaps. I've reviewed the ad-watching category in ad watching earning apps in Pakistan, and the task-based alternative in task earning apps in Pakistan, both of which tend to out-earn pure surveys per hour once you account for disqualification time. And if withdrawal method is your main filter, which it should be, my breakdown of online earning apps with JazzCash withdrawal covers which platforms release funds rather than just promising to.

If you're in Pakistan but have family or contacts in India, or you're comparing regional expectations, it's worth reading how unrealistic the "earn $100 a day" claims are even in a bigger market, which I cover in earning $100 a day online in India without investment. The numbers in Pakistan are smaller still, and anyone promising otherwise is selling something.

The part most reviews skip entirely

Survey platforms sell your profile data to market research firms. That's the business model, full stop. You are not being paid for your opinion, you are being paid a small fee for data that gets resold at a much higher value to brands who want to understand Pakistani consumer behaviour. There is nothing wrong with that exchange as long as you know it's happening, but writers who frame it as "get paid for your opinions!" are dressing up a data-brokerage transaction as a fun side hustle. Go in with that understanding and the small payouts make more sense, you're being paid at the bottom of a value chain, not the top.

It's also worth being blunt about who this suits. If you have a few spare hours around other work, a flexible schedule, and no urgent need for the money, surveys are a reasonable low-effort top-up. If you're relying on this as a primary income, you'll burn out on disqualifications within a fortnight and earn less than minimum wage for your time, by a wide margin.

Red flags to walk away from immediately

  • Any site asking for an upfront payment to "open up" higher-paying surveys.
  • Platforms that only pay in gift cards for US stores with no local redemption option.
  • Sites with no visible minimum payout threshold stated anywhere, which usually means they change it whenever it suits them.
  • Referral-heavy platforms where the main way to earn is recruiting others rather than completing surveys yourself, that's a pyramid structure wearing a survey costume.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really earn money from online surveys in Pakistan?

Yes, but modestly, realistically between 1,000 and 4,000 PKR a month with consistent daily effort, and only on platforms that support JazzCash or Easypaisa withdrawal, since PayPal and US gift cards create extra friction for most users in Pakistan.

Which survey sites pay out in Pakistan?

Reward aggregators that bundle surveys with other tasks, such as those paying via JazzCash or Easypaisa, tend to deliver more reliable income than pure survey-only platforms like Toluna or Swagbucks, which frequently disqualify Pakistani users before they can complete a survey.

Why do I get disqualified from so many surveys?

Survey platforms match you to research briefs based on demographic quotas that fill up fast, and users outside the US and UK are often lower priority for advertisers, so disqualification rates for Pakistani users tend to run much higher than average.

Is it worth doing surveys instead of other earning apps?

On an hourly basis, task apps and ad-watching apps usually out-earn pure survey platforms because they don't carry the same disqualification time cost, so surveys work best as a supplement rather than your main earning method.
