NFL Sunday Ticket Military Discount: How to Claim It With id.me

Yes. As of October 2026, YouTube's id.me Heroes Service Plan gives military members and veterans, first responders, the medical community and teachers NFL Sunday Ticket for the 2026 season for $198, with NFL RedZone for $42 more. You verify your status through id.me, the plan is bought as a YouTube Primetime Channel, and the offer runs until January 10, 2027.

The deal itself is simple. What trips people up is the account they're signed in with, because one type of Google account blocks the purchase completely. I'll walk you through both.

Who can get the Heroes price

YouTube calls it the Heroes Service Plan, and the same price applies to four groups. Each one verifies through its own id.me link, which you'll find on YouTube's help page for the offer.

GroupHow you prove itPrice as of October 2026
Military and veteransid.me verification$198, or $240 with RedZone
First respondersid.me verification$198, or $240 with RedZone
Medical communityid.me verification$198, or $240 with RedZone
Teachersid.me verification$198, or $240 with RedZone

So if you searched for a teacher discount, this is it. There isn't a separate teacher deal: teachers use the same id.me Heroes plan as military families and medical staff.

How to claim the discount, step by step

  1. Open YouTube's help page for NFL Sunday Ticket for the Military, Medical and Teaching Communities and pick the id.me link for your group.
  2. Click the green button next to Verify now.
  3. Sign in to the Google account you want to watch Sunday Ticket on. YouTube's tip is to think about which account is logged in on your TV or your favourite device.
  4. Complete the id.me verification.
  5. You'll be sent to a YouTube purchase page. Choose to pay in one payment or in instalments, and decide whether to add NFL RedZone for $42.
  6. Check out. YouTube emails you a receipt, and you can see your membership any time at youtube.com/purchases.

Once you've paid, you can watch on YouTube or YouTube TV. The plan is redeemed as a Primetime Channel, but that only decides how it's billed, not which app you use.

The Brand Account error that blocks the deal

This is the one people miss. YouTube says buying Sunday Ticket through id.me isn't available while you're signed in with a Brand Account. If you're on one, you may see errors at checkout. To fix it:

  1. Go to youtube.com on a computer or mobile browser.
  2. Select your profile picture in the top-right corner.
  3. Select Switch account.
  4. Pick an account that isn't a Brand Account.
  5. Start the id.me steps again.

Not sure which you're using? Sign in and check myaccount.google.com/brandaccounts. Any Brand Accounts are listed under Your Brand Accounts. If none are listed, tap your profile picture to make sure you're in the right account before you buy.

Rules that apply to every Sunday Ticket deal

YouTube's discounts page sets the same ground rules for all its offers, the Heroes plan included:

  • Use a web browser. Complete the purchase or redeem the discount on a computer or a mobile web browser.
  • One offer per account. You can't stack the Heroes price with another discount.
  • No mid-season swaps. An existing active subscription for the current season can't be combined with a new promotional offer.

That last rule matters if you already bought Sunday Ticket at full price this season. Verifying with id.me afterwards won't knock the price down on the membership you already have.

Other deals worth comparing first

The Heroes plan isn't the only discount YouTube lists, and you can only use one, so check which fits you best before you verify:

  • YouTube Premium members: $204 for the season, with RedZone for $42 more, until November 2, 2026. It's for new Sunday Ticket subscribers with a paid Premium membership (individual, family plan manager or family member) who pay through YouTube billing and are in the US or Washington, D.C. Premium trials, Premium Lite and Music Premium don't qualify.
  • Partner offers: YouTube names EA Sports and Best Buy among its partners.
  • Your provider: if you pay for YouTube TV through Frontier, Verizon or WOW!, YouTube says you can sign up for Sunday Ticket with them directly and may get your own savings.

If none of these apply, the standard and returning-user prices are in this NFL Sunday Ticket price guide.

What the $42 RedZone add-on is

NFL RedZone is a separate channel from NFL Network that shows every touchdown from every game on Sunday afternoons in the regular season. YouTube says you can't change a Sunday Ticket purchase for the current season once it's made, so decide on RedZone before you pay. If you skip it and change your mind later on YouTube TV, it's also sold as part of a Sports Plus add-on. Here's how RedZone works on YouTube TV.

What you get for the season

Sunday Ticket covers regular season Sunday afternoon games that aren't on your local channels. It doesn't include preseason, postseason, or local and national broadcasts, so you'll still want another way to watch your home team's local games. A YouTube TV plan is the usual answer, and you can compare YouTube TV plans if you don't have one yet.

If you get stuck, YouTube runs a Sunday Ticket support line on +1 833-389-2054 as well as live chat.

My verdict

If you serve, have served, teach, or work in medicine or emergency services, take the $198 Heroes plan. It's one of the lowest Sunday Ticket prices YouTube lists, and the steps take a few minutes. Before you start, switch out of any Brand Account and sign in on the account your TV uses, because those two things cause most of the failed checkouts. And if you also pay for YouTube Premium, compare the $204 member deal quickly, since you can only use one offer.

Frequently asked questions

How much is NFL Sunday Ticket with the military discount?

As of October 2026, YouTube's id.me Heroes Service Plan is $198 for the 2026 season, with NFL RedZone available for $42 more. The offer runs until January 10, 2027.

Is there an NFL Sunday Ticket teacher discount?

Yes. Teachers use the same id.me Heroes Service Plan as military members, veterans, first responders and the medical community.

Why won't the id.me Sunday Ticket deal work for me?

The most common cause is a Brand Account. YouTube says id.me purchases aren't available while you're signed in with one, so switch to a personal account and try again.

Can I watch the Heroes plan on YouTube TV?

Yes. It's redeemed as a YouTube Primetime Channel, but once you've bought it you can watch on either YouTube or YouTube TV.

Can I combine the military discount with another offer?

No. YouTube allows one offer per account, and an existing subscription for the current season can't be combined with a new promotion.
