As of October 2026, Midjourney costs $10 a month for Basic, $30 for Standard, $60 for Pro and $120 for Mega, according to Midjourney's own plan comparison. Paying annually costs $96, $288, $576 or $1,152 a year, which works out at $8, $24, $48 or $96 a month. Midjourney offers four paid subscription tiers, and every plan renews automatically.
Midjourney is still the image generator I see most in branding, ad creative and social content. Its pricing is simple on the surface, but the plan you pick decides two things that matter more than the price: whether you get unlimited slow generations, and whether you're allowed to use it at all if your company is above a certain size.
Midjourney plans and prices
| Plan | Monthly price | Annual price | Fast GPU time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Basic | $10 | $96 ($8 a month) | 3.3 hours a month (200 minutes) |
| Standard | $30 | $288 ($24 a month) | 15 hours a month |
| Pro | $60 | $576 ($48 a month) | 30 hours a month |
| Mega | $120 | $1,152 ($96 a month) | 60 hours a month |
Midjourney says annual plans are paid upfront for the full year and give you a discount compared with paying monthly. All plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly, unless you set your plan to cancel.
The company size rule
Here's the line in Midjourney's own docs that most pricing round-ups leave out. Midjourney says that if you've subscribed at any point, you're free to use your images and videos in just about any way you want, but you must buy the Pro or Mega plan if you're a company making more than $1,000,000 a year in gross revenue.
So if your business turns over more than that, Basic and Standard aren't an option for business use, whatever your volume of images. Budget for Pro from the start.
Fast hours vs Relax mode
Midjourney sells GPU time, not a set number of images. Fast GPU time is the hours of quick generation each plan includes. Relax mode is slower, queued generation that doesn't use your fast hours.
- Basic: no Relax mode, so once your fast hours are gone you buy more or wait for next month.
- Standard: unlimited image generations in Relax mode.
- Pro and Mega: unlimited images and standard-definition video in Relax mode.
- All plans: extra fast GPU time at $4 an hour.
For anyone making images every week, Standard is where the plan stops rationing you.
Privacy and video
Midjourney's Stealth Mode, which keeps your images and videos private, is only available on Pro and Mega. Basic and Standard don't include it, which matters if you're creating client work before launch. For video, Basic gets SD only, while the other plans get SD and HD.

How to choose
- Check your company's annual gross revenue. Over $1,000,000 means Pro or Mega for business use.
- Estimate how many images you make in a month. Weekly users usually need Standard for unlimited Relax generations.
- Decide whether your work must stay private before launch. If so, you need Pro or Mega for Stealth Mode.
- Pick annual billing once you're sure, because Midjourney discounts it.
- Set your plan to cancel if you only need it for one project, so it doesn't renew.
Plan limits beyond the price
Midjourney's comparison table also limits how much you can run at once. These are the limits it lists for each plan:
| Limit | Basic | Standard | Pro | Mega |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Image prompts at once | 3 Fast | 3 Fast or Relax | 12 Fast or 3 Relax | 12 Fast or 3 Relax |
| Video prompts at once | 1 Fast | 3 Fast | 6 Fast or 3 Relax | 12 Fast or 3 Relax |
| Repeat or permutation size | 4 jobs | 10 jobs | 40 jobs | 40 jobs |
| Queued jobs | 10 jobs | 10 jobs | 10 jobs | 10 jobs |
For one person making a few images at a time, Basic or Standard is fine. If you run big batches of variations for ad testing, Pro's 40-job permutations save a lot of clicking.
Ways to stretch your hours
Two things help before you pay for more. Midjourney's table shows that every plan can rate images to earn free GPU time. And extra fast GPU time is sold at $4 an hour on every plan, so a busy month doesn't have to mean upgrading. If you find yourself buying extra hours every month, that's the signal to move up a tier.

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
And remember the annual plan is paid upfront for the full year, so only switch to it once you know Midjourney is part of your regular workflow. A month or two on monthly billing is the cheapest way to find out which tier you need.
My verdict
For most small businesses making regular content, Midjourney Standard at $30 a month is the sweet spot, because unlimited Relax generations mean you never run dry mid-project. If your company is above the $1,000,000 revenue line, or you're making client work that has to stay private, go straight to Pro at $60 a month. Basic is only worth it for occasional, one-off images.
