LearnWorlds Review: Learners, Admins and the Enrollment Fee

LearnWorlds is course-school software for solo trainers and small course businesses who want their own branded academy, with plans sized by active learners, admins and AI credits. The catch, as of Oct 2026: the entry Starter plan adds 5 dollars to every course enrollment, and full white-label branding doesn't arrive until Learning Center at 249 dollars a month billed annually.

People type "learnworlds review" when they've seen the course pages and want to know what the bill turns into once students arrive. I read LearnWorlds' own pricing page and its plans and limits table, and the answer sits in three numbers per plan: active learners, admins and AI credits. Here's what each plan includes, where the enrollment fee sits and who I think each one fits.

LearnWorlds plans and limits, side by side

PlanPrice as listed (dollars)What's includedThe limit that bites
Starter44 a month billed annually, or 49 a month billed monthlyCourses on your own domain, AI course builder and quizzes, selling through your own Stripe or PayPal, live 1:1 and group sessions, 24/5 email support5 dollars per course enrollment, 1,000 active learners a month, 1 admin, 300 AI credits a month

Figures are as listed on LearnWorlds' pricing page as of Oct 2026. The plan cards show the numbers without a currency sign, but the limits table writes the enrollment fee in dollars, so I've read them as dollars. Check the vendor's pricing page before you buy, because the annual and monthly figures sit next to each other and it's easy to read the wrong one.

The 2,000-learner ceiling Learning Center doesn't raise

Most people assume a bigger plan means room for more students. On LearnWorlds it doesn't, at least not between the two middle plans. Pro Trainer and Learning Center both list 2,000 active learners a month. What the jump from 79 to 249 dollars a month (both billed annually) buys you is admins (5 up to 25), AI credits (500 up to 1,000), full white-label branding, client groups and automation. It isn't extra learner headroom. If your school is heading past 2,000 active learners a month, the plan that changes that number is Corporate, and that's a custom quote.

The second thing to get clear on is the Starter enrollment fee. Starter lists 44 dollars a month billed annually, then adds 5 dollars per course enrollment on top. Pro Trainer drops that fee completely, and LearnWorlds' own note under Starter says you move up "when you pass 1,000 learners or want to drop enrollment fees." I won't do the sum for you, because it depends on how many enrollments you expect, but it's a two-minute job: take the enrollments you expect in a month, multiply by 5, add the Starter figure and set the result against Pro Trainer. For most solo creators with a course that sells, that one sum makes the decision.

The page also puts its own savings labels on annual billing: "Save 240/yr" on Pro Trainer and "Save 600/yr" on Learning Center. Those are LearnWorlds' words, not mine, and they only apply if you commit to the annual figure.

What LearnWorlds gives you to build and sell a course

Every self-serve plan lets you build and host courses on your own domain, use the AI course builder and quizzes, sell through your own Stripe or PayPal account and run live 1:1 and group sessions. Paid courses and free courses are both listed as unlimited across the plans in the comparison table, so the number of courses isn't what you're paying for.

From Pro Trainer up you get subscriptions, memberships and payment plans, unlimited courses and learning paths, course certificates, up to 20 SCORM uploads and 50+ built-in integrations. Learning Center adds triggers, conditions and delays to automate repetitive tasks, course reports you can schedule and send, training for up to 10 client groups and 2 hours of setup help with a specialist. Support is 24/5 email on Starter and 24/7 from Pro Trainer, and the uptime guarantee reads 99.90% on the three self-serve plans and 99.95% on Corporate.

Mass email credits run at 2,000, 5,000 and 10,000 a month across Starter, Pro Trainer and Learning Center. That's handy for course announcements, though if you'd rather keep your list somewhere dedicated, I've written up email tools that suit creators separately. And if you're still deciding what kind of platform you need at all, my roundup of online course platforms covers the wider field.

Who LearnWorlds fits, and who should pass

It fits

  • Solo course creators who want a branded school on their own domain and don't mind the enrollment fee while sales are low.
  • Small course businesses selling subscriptions, memberships or payment plans, which start on Pro Trainer.
  • Training teams and academies that need several admins, client groups and no LearnWorlds logos, which is Learning Center territory.

Pass on it if

  • You want to sell on the entry plan without a per-enrollment fee: Starter charges 5 dollars per course enrollment.
  • You need white-label branding but can't carry Learning Center at 249 dollars a month billed annually.
  • You're about to pass 2,000 active learners a month, since only Corporate lifts that cap and it's priced by quote.

If you haven't got students yet, it's worth reading how to sell digital products without an audience before you pay for learner capacity you won't use for a while.

Verdict: where I'd start on LearnWorlds

I'd start on Starter only if I were testing one paid course and expected few enrollments, because that 5 dollar fee on every enrollment adds up quickly once a launch works. For anyone already selling, I'd go straight to Pro Trainer: no enrollment fees, memberships and payment plans, and five admins. I'd only step up to Learning Center for the white-label branding and client groups, never for more students, because the learner cap doesn't move. And I'd skip LearnWorlds if you need a fully unbranded school but can't justify the Learning Center bill.
