Guest posting sites in Australia include blogs on .com.au and .au domains, plus many Australian sites on .com. My live-checked list has 53 .au sites, 40 of them live in September 2026 and 15 of those with a domain authority of 40 or more. Food, business, marketing and home and garden are the biggest groups. The domain ending doesn't decide who reads a site, so check traffic by country and niche fit.

People search for guest posting sites in Australia for two reasons. Some are Australian businesses that want Australian customers. Many more are agencies and link builders placing posts for Australian clients, often from outside Australia. This page covers both.

What does my list show about Australian guest posting sites?

My free list of websites that accept guest posts has 3,204 sites that I checked live in September 2026. 53 of them use an Australian domain. 40 were still live, and 15 of those had a domain authority of 40 or more. The rest were dead or parked, which is roughly a quarter, a higher failure rate than the list as a whole.

Why is the domain ending the wrong filter?

Filtering by .com.au misses most Australian blogs, because plenty of Australian publishers use .com. And it tells you nothing about who reads a site. What matters is:

  • Traffic by country. Check the Australian share in any SEO tool.
  • Niche fit. A relevant site beats a big irrelevant one.
  • Whether it's alive. A quarter of the .au sites on my list had gone.
  • Recent posts. Read three. If they're all thin sponsored articles, move on.
  • The owner. Can you reach a real person if something goes wrong?

How do you reach Australian readers with a guest post?

Look for sites whose traffic is mostly Australian, whatever their domain, then write for that reader. Use Australian spelling, Australian dollars for any figures and local examples. Mention the platforms, rules and seasons Australians know. A post that reads like it was written for the USA with the country name swapped in gets spotted quickly by Australian editors.

Placing posts for Australian clients from outside Australia

A lot of the agencies I work with place posts for clients in Australia, the USA and the UK from somewhere else entirely. If that's you, the question is simple: does the site's audience match your client's market? If your client sells to Australians only, a site with a mostly Australian readership is the better buy. If your client sells to business owners and marketers across English-speaking markets, a strong international site often does more.

Can you reach Australian business owners from my blog?

My blog isn't an Australian site, and I won't pretend it is. lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days, with thousands of indexed articles, and most of my readers are in the USA and the UK. It suits Australian clients who sell to business owners and marketers internationally, such as software, services and tools. If your client needs Australian customers above all, use the list above.

Each niche on my blog has its own guidelines page: digital marketing, SEO, SaaS, AI, technology, small business, finance, health and travel.

How placing a post on my blog works

  1. Email [email protected], or start on my write for me page, with your target URL, topic and niche.
  2. I reply with whether it fits and which format I'd pick: a new sponsored post or a link insertion into an existing, indexed article.
  3. You send the article, or I choose the right existing article for your link.
  4. I edit, publish and send you the live URL.

Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed. Placements are permanent. I invoice by PayPal, and if you're an agency, I never contact your client.

Placing in several English-speaking markets? See my pages on guest posting sites in the USA and UK guest posting sites, and the white label guest posts page if you're an agency.

Placing for an Australian client? Email [email protected] with your client's target URL, topic and niche, or start on my write for me page. Batch orders are welcome.
