The best guest posting sites for a US audience are blogs whose readers are mostly in the United States, and you can't tell that from the domain. Almost all US sites use .com, so check traffic by country before you pitch or buy. My marketing blog's readers are global, with the majority in the USA and the UK, and it accepts sponsored and guest posts.

If you're looking for guest posting sites in the USA, you're usually after one of two things. Either you're a US business that wants to reach American customers, or you're an agency placing links for a client who needs US visibility. In both cases the question is the same: where are this site's readers?

Why the domain ending won't help you

For UK sites you can often spot a .co.uk. For the USA there's no equivalent that people use. On my own list of 3,204 guest post sites, only 8 used a .us domain, while 2,583 were .com. A .com can be read mostly in Texas, Lahore, London or Manila. So filtering a list by domain ending tells you almost nothing about a US audience.

How to check a site really reaches the USA

  • Look at traffic by country in an SEO tool. Most tools show a country split for organic traffic. You want the USA as the biggest slice.
  • Check which searches it ranks for. A site ranking in US results for topics American buyers search is a good sign.
  • Read the content. Dollar amounts, US spelling, US holidays, US tax and law references and US brands all point to a US readership.
  • Look at the ads and affiliate offers. They follow the audience.
  • Ask the owner. A publisher who knows their audience will tell you where their readers are.
  • Check the site is alive. On my list, 18% of sites were dead or parked when I checked in September 2026.

What US readers respond to

A post written for an American audience should sound like it. Use US spelling if the site does, give examples from US businesses, and put numbers in dollars. Most of all, give the reader something they can use today. American business readers are busy and skim fast. Answer the question in your first two sentences, then show your working.

Where to find US-focused guest posting sites

My free list of websites that accept guest posts covers thousands of sites across 37 categories, checked live. It doesn't split by country, because domain endings don't show audience, but it's a strong starting list. Use it with the checks above to shortlist sites with a US readership. For the strongest targets, start with my high DA guest posting sites.

Niche matters as much as country. A US SaaS company will get more from a relevant marketing or SaaS blog read in the USA than from a general news site read everywhere.

Where my blog fits

lilachbullock.com is a marketing blog that's been publishing since the dial-up days. My readers are business owners, marketers and entrepreneurs around the world, with the majority in the USA and the UK. If you're trying to reach American business owners and marketers, it's a good fit for:

  • Marketing, SEO and social media tools
  • SaaS and AI products for small and mid-sized businesses
  • Business services, finance and productivity
  • Technology and web design

I accept sponsored guest posts, link insertions into existing articles, and product mentions in relevant roundups. Accepted posts usually go live within 24 to 48 hours of everything being agreed, and placements are permanent.

How to place a post on my blog

  1. Email your target URL, topic and niche.
  2. I'll tell you if it fits and which format makes sense.
  3. Send your article, or ask me to pick an existing article for a link insertion.
  4. I edit, publish and send you the live URL.

Editorial contributors writing for free should read the guidelines on my write for me page. Each niche has its own guidelines page too: digital marketing, SEO, SaaS, AI, technology, small business, business, finance, health and travel.

A note for agencies placing for US clients

Many of the agencies I work with are based outside the USA and place for American clients. That works well. Tell me the client's niche and target market in your first email and I'll tell you which article or format gives them the best shot. I never contact your client. There's more on how that works on my white label guest posts page.

What matters more than authority for a US campaign

Authority scores are easy to compare, so everyone compares them. For a US campaign these four things tell you more:

  • US share of traffic. A smaller site read mostly in the USA can beat a bigger site read everywhere.
  • Traffic trend. Growing or steady is good. A sharp fall over the last year is a warning.
  • Relevance. A marketing tool belongs on a marketing blog. Relevance is what makes a link make sense to a reader.
  • Where the post sits. A post linked from other articles on the site gets found. One that's orphaned rarely does.

Questions to ask a publisher about their US audience

  • Where are most of your readers?
  • Which of your articles get the most US visitors?
  • Can you place my link in one of those articles rather than a new post?
  • How long will my post stay live?

The third question is the one most buyers never ask. A link insertion into an article that already gets US visitors can do more than a brand new post that starts from zero.

US businesses: one post or a campaign?

If you're a US business doing this yourself, start with one or two placements on relevant sites and watch what happens to referral visits and rankings for the page you linked. Then do more of what worked. If you're working through an agency, ask them which sites they're using and check them with the steps on this page.

Frequently asked questions

How do I find guest posting sites in the USA?

Start with a live list of sites in your niche, then check each site's organic traffic by country in an SEO tool. You want the USA as the largest share. The domain ending won't tell you, because nearly all US sites use .com.

Are .us domains good for US guest posts?

Very few blogs use .us. On my list of 3,204 guest post sites only 8 did. Audience data matters far more than the domain.

Where are your blog's readers?

My readers are global, with the majority in the USA and the UK.

Can agencies outside the USA place posts for US clients?

Yes. Many of my repeat buyers are international agencies placing for US clients. I deal only with the agency.

How fast do posts go live?

Usually 24 to 48 hours after everything is agreed.

Are placements permanent?

Yes.

Is a high DA site always better for US visibility?

No. A relevant site with a large US readership and a steady traffic trend can do more for you than a higher authority site that's read mostly elsewhere or has lost most of its visitors.

Can you put my link in an article US readers already visit?

Often, yes. Ask about a link insertion and I'll look for an existing article on the right topic.
