The best virtual office depends on what you need beyond an address. Some providers sell a business address with live receptionists, phone numbers and meeting rooms you can book, some add day offices and private offices, and some sell a mailbox and address alone. Decide whether you need rooms and people or only an address, then compare.
A virtual office sounds like one product, but read the providers' own pages and it's a bundle that changes from one company to the next. For some it's an address and a receptionist. For others it's a desk or a meeting room you can book when a client visits.
This list covers nine providers, using only what each one's own site says, read on 2 Nov 2026 (as of Nov 2026). It's alphabetical and in no particular order. It's about what's in each bundle, so you won't find plan details or location counts here.

Address, people or rooms: what's in the bundle
Here's what the search term hides: providers sell a different bundle. Alliance Virtual Offices lists virtual offices, live receptionists, virtual phone, meeting rooms and coworking. Intelligent Office lists executive suites, private offices, day offices, hourly offices and meeting rooms next to local phone answering, a business address and mail services. Opus Virtual Offices sells 'The Ultimate Virtual Office Solution' as all-inclusive with no long-term contracts. Others, such as iPostal1 and Anytime Mailbox, sell a mailbox and address alone.
- Address and mail: a business address with mail received, scanned or forwarded.
- People: live receptionists or call answering in your business name, plus a phone number.
- Rooms: meeting rooms, day offices and coworking you can book when you need them.
So decide whether you need rooms and a receptionist or only an address. That one choice cuts this list in half.
Receptionists and call answering
The people side is where the bundles differ most. Davinci Virtual sells live receptionists as 'a professional voice with a personal touch', beside a virtual phone number. One all-inclusive provider lists live call answering, personalized call transferring, a business phone and fax number, and voicemail and fax converted to email. Another lists local phone answering among its virtual office solutions.

Meeting rooms, day offices and coworking
The rooms side matters if clients ever visit. One provider sells executive suites, private offices, day and hourly offices, and meeting, training and conference rooms, plus coworking space. Another books meeting spaces, coworking and event spaces, and sells full time spaces too.

Servcorp sells virtual offices, coworking, office spaces and meeting rooms, with locations in cities such as New York, Chicago, Houston and Washington DC. And Bizspace, a UK workspace provider, lists a virtual office beside managed and serviced offices, co-working, studios, workshops and meeting rooms. If you think you'll grow into a physical office, a provider that sells both can save you a move later.

When a mailbox is all you need
If you don't need people or rooms, the two mailbox providers on this list are the simpler option. One says it receives your mail and packages, and you view and manage them using its app or website. The other lets you manage postal mail online, with mail and package forwarding and mail opened and scanned as PDFs.
NYC Virtual Office sits between the two: a New York business address with mail receiving, forwarding and scanning, package receiving, a voicemail number and fax to email.
Questions to ask before you sign up
- Do I need someone answering calls in my business name?
- Will I meet clients, and how often will I need a room?
- Would a day office or a desk now and then be useful?
- Which city do I want my business address in?
- Do I need mail scanned and forwarded, or just received?
- Will I be tied into a long-term contract?

My advice on picking a virtual office
Work out which of the three you need: an address, people or rooms. If you only want somewhere for mail to land, a mailbox provider will do. If you want calls answered in your business name, look at the providers with live receptionists. And if clients will visit, pick a provider with meeting rooms or day offices in the city where they are.

Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a virtual office and a virtual mailbox?
On these providers' own pages, a virtual mailbox is about mail: receiving it, scanning it and forwarding it. A virtual office bundle can add people and rooms, as one network's menu shows: virtual offices, live receptionists, virtual phone, meeting rooms and coworking.
Can I book a meeting room with a virtual office?
With several providers, yes. One network has meeting room booking, one provider books meeting spaces and event spaces, one lists meeting, training and conference rooms, and two workspace companies list meeting rooms beside their virtual offices.
Will a virtual office provider answer my calls?
Some will. One sells live receptionists, one lists live call answering and call transferring in its all-inclusive plan, one sells local phone answering, and one network sells live receptionist services and virtual phone numbers.
Can I rent a desk or a day office now and then?
Some providers sell that. One lists day offices and hourly offices, and several list coworking beside their virtual offices.
Is there a virtual office provider for a UK business?
Yes. One provider on this list is a UK workspace company that lists a virtual office beside offices, studios, workshops and meeting rooms.
Is there a long contract to sign?
It depends on the provider. One sells an all-inclusive plan with no long-term contracts, one New York provider says no contract, and one mailbox provider says you can cancel anytime. Check the terms on the provider's own page.
