The best LinkedIn Chrome extensions help you write better posts, find contact details, sync prospects to your CRM or run outreach without endless copying and pasting. Content extensions suit creators and personal brands, while data and outreach extensions suit sales teams and recruiters. Eleven options follow in no particular order.
LinkedIn is where a lot of small businesses find their best clients, and it's also where hours quietly disappear. Copying names into spreadsheets, formatting posts and hunting for email addresses all add up.
The eleven extensions below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from the tool's own website, read this week. Before you install anything that automates activity, read my guide to fixing a restricted LinkedIn account, because that's the risk you're managing.

What LinkedIn Help says about extensions
This is the part most extension sales pages leave out. LinkedIn Help says it doesn't permit the use of third party software, including crawlers, bots, browser plug-ins or browser extensions, that scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on LinkedIn's website. It adds that these tools violate its User Agreement.
That doesn't mean every extension is off limits, but it does mean you're the one carrying the risk. Tools that help you write, organise your own content or manage contacts you're allowed to use are lower risk than tools that automate clicks, messages or profile visits on LinkedIn itself.
Content helpers, data tools and outreach tools
Content helpers sit beside the LinkedIn editor and help you write, format or design posts and carousels. Data tools show contact details or company information for profiles you view and sync them to a CRM. Outreach tools run connection requests and message sequences.
Most founders get the biggest return from a content helper and a CRM sync. Outreach automation can save time, but it's the category LinkedIn watches most closely.
Questions to ask before you install a LinkedIn extension
- Does it automate activity on LinkedIn, or only help me work?
- Where does it get contact data, and is it accurate?
- Does it sync with the CRM I already use?
- What permissions does it need in Chrome?
- Can I pause or remove it easily if LinkedIn complains?
- Will it work with Sales Navigator if I use it?
Signs a LinkedIn extension is putting your account at risk
- It visits profiles while you sleep. That's automation.
- Connection requests go out in bulk. Slow it right down.
- LinkedIn shows a warning. Remove the tool and wait.
- You can't explain what it does. Uninstall it.
Do you make a LinkedIn Chrome extension? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.
My plain advice on choosing LinkedIn Chrome extensions
Protect the account you've built. Start with an extension that helps you write and organise content, add a contact or CRM tool if you sell, and think very carefully before handing your clicks and messages to automation. A restricted profile takes far longer to recover than any tool will save you.
If you do want help with outreach, choose a tool that keeps a human in the loop, and compare it with the options in my roundup of LinkedIn automation tools so you know exactly what each one does on your behalf.
Frequently asked questions
What is a LinkedIn Chrome extension?
A LinkedIn Chrome extension is a browser add-on that works alongside LinkedIn, helping with posts, contact details, CRM sync or outreach.
Are LinkedIn extensions allowed?
LinkedIn Help says it doesn't permit third party software or extensions that scrape, modify the appearance of, or automate activity on its website. Tools that only help you write or organise carry less risk.
Can a LinkedIn extension get my account restricted?
Yes, especially if it automates activity on LinkedIn. Use automation sparingly and remove any extension that behaves unexpectedly.
Are there free LinkedIn Chrome extensions?
Some tools offer a free allowance and others offer trials. The free plan column above shows what each tool's own site says.
Which extension helps with LinkedIn posts?
Content helpers and carousel makers in this list help you write, format and design posts before you publish them.
Do I need Sales Navigator for these extensions?
Not for most of them, although a few export tools are built specifically around Sales Navigator lists.
