An AI price comparison tool checks what the same product sells for across several stores, often from a photo, a barcode or the page you're browsing. Some add price history, coupons or a summary of reviews. Nine tools follow in no particular order, and the biggest difference between them is which country's shops they cover.
Comparing prices used to mean opening tab after tab and hoping you hadn't missed a store. AI tools now do the looking for you: point your camera at a product, scan a barcode or browse as normal, and the app shows you where else it's on sale.
The nine tools below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order. Each description comes from the tool's own App Store listing, Chrome Web Store listing or website. If you like stacking savings, my roundup of coupon sites for tech products is worth a look too.
AI price comparison apps at a glance
The free plan column comes from each tool's own App Store listing, Chrome Web Store listing or website, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the page names a free plan, a free version or free use. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the page didn't name either, so check the tool's site before you sign up.

Who keeps a free price tool running
Free price tools have to earn somehow, and often it's from the stores they send you to. SnapThePrice's own Chrome Web Store listing carries an affiliate disclosure saying it may earn a small commission from partner links, and that this helps keep it free.
That's an honest model, and it doesn't mean the results are wrong. It does mean the tool has a reason to show you some stores over others. So when it finds the lowest price, open that store's own page and check the price, delivery and returns there before you buy.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
If you sell in person as well as online, see how Shopify POS works.
Check the tool covers your country
Coverage is the thing most people miss. KompareAI compares Indian stores such as Blinkit, Zepto, BigBasket, Amazon and JioMart. Price-Fetch compares US grocery prices across 40+ stores. Zyft is built for Australian shoppers. A brilliant tool in one country can be useless in another, so read the store list before you install.
If you shop in the UK or Canada, look for a tool whose listing names the shops you use. If it doesn't name them, don't expect it to find them. A photo or barcode tool is handy in a physical shop, while a browser extension works better for online shopping, so think about where you buy most.

Getting more from a price comparison app
- Search by the exact model number where you can, because similar products often have different names.
- Compare the total with delivery, not just the shelf price.
- Check the seller, as the same item can come from the store itself or a third-party seller.
- Look at price history before a sale, so you know whether the discount is real.
- Confirm the final price on the store's own page before you pay.

Plain advice on comparing shop prices with AI
Pick the tool that covers the shops you use, in the country you shop in. Then treat it as a fast first look, not the final word. Free tools may earn from the stores they point you to, so the last check always happens on the store's own page, with delivery and returns included.

Frequently asked questions
What is an AI price comparison tool?
It's an app, website or browser extension that checks what the same product sells for across several stores, often from a photo, a barcode or the page you're on.
Are free price comparison apps free for a reason?
Often, yes. Some earn a commission from the stores they send you to, so look for an affiliate disclosure on the listing and confirm the price on the store's own page.
Can I compare prices by taking a photo?
Yes. Several tools here let you snap a photo or scan a barcode, then show the same product at other stores.
Do AI price comparison apps work in every country?
No. Coverage is regional, with some tools built for US, Indian or Australian shops, so check the store list before you install one.
Is the lowest price always the best deal?
Not always. Add delivery, check who the seller is and look at returns, because a slightly higher price from a store you trust can work out better.
