You can get a Discord refund on Nitro or a Server Boost if you ask Discord's billing team within 5 days of the initial purchase, using the billing support form and your payment ID. The one-time rule is the one people don't see coming. If you've ever had a refund on any Nitro subscription, Discord says you won't be eligible for another Nitro refund in future, and a refund on a self-claimed Nitro gift counts towards that same allowance. Every request is also reviewed case by case, at Discord's discretion, so the 5-day window makes you eligible to ask, not certain to win.

There's one more Nitro exception. If you redeemed a promotion from Discord or a Discord partner, such as a free Xbox Game Pass offer, within 5 days of renewing or starting Nitro, you're not eligible for a Nitro refund. And if you're refunded for a gift, any promotional offers that came with it may be taken back. Before you decide, it's worth checking what Nitro includes, so you know what you'd be giving up.
No refund on Orbs doesn't mean no help. If Orbs you'd collected were spent without your permission, Discord wants you to send a billing ticket. Here's a reminder of what Orbs can and can't do. A defective Server Shop item goes to the billing team too, and for anything else bought from a server or app, Discord's first stop is the server's creator or the app's developer.
Step one: find your payment ID
You can only see your payment ID in the desktop app or a browser, not in the mobile app.
- Open User Settings with the cogwheel icon.
- Click Billing and select the purchase.
- Copy the payment ID from the dropdown that opens.
On mobile, look in the confirmation email for the purchase, which includes the payment ID. Android users can give the GPA number from their Google Play confirmation email instead, and Discord says that gets a quicker turnaround. If you can't find the email, log in on a computer and use the steps above.
Step two: send the billing form
- Open Discord's billing support form, which has the short address dis.gd/billing, using the email address tied to your Discord account.
- Choose the right Type of Billing Issue. For a Premium App subscription, for example, that's Premium Apps.
- Answer every question and paste your payment ID where it's asked for.
- Wait for the confirmation email that your ticket's been received, then for the team's reply.
Send everything inside the window. Discord warns that failing to provide the requested information within the eligibility period may get the request denied. Send one ticket per issue, too, because multiple tickets slow the reply down.
Charged for an account you can't get into
This usually happens when you've lost access to the account's email or forgotten which address you used. Check your statement first: Discord charges show as DISCORD* or PAYPAL DISCORD. Unrecognised charges made through iOS go to Apple, and ones made through Google Play go to Google.
In the billing form, choose I want a refund for a subscription purchase, then say whether you still have access to the email address. Include the transaction date and amount, the purchase method, the payment method, a payment identifier such as the last 4 digits of the card or a PayPal invoice ID, and a screenshot from your bank or PayPal statement showing the amount, the date and the DISCORD* descriptor. Unless you're writing from the account that was charged, Discord won't accept its own receipts as proof. It aims to resolve these within 72 hours, though some take longer.
Stopping the renewal is a separate job from the refund. If you can still log in, cancel the subscription first so you aren't charged again.
Don't go to your bank first
Discord asks you to contact its billing team before you file a dispute with your bank. A chargeback or bank dispute on a Discord transaction may get the account suspended while Discord investigates. It also says that refunds outside its standard refund policy may result in the account being disabled under its terms.
