Ultra is built for people who hit Pro's limits every week, or who want features Google keeps for Ultra only. Most small businesses won't need it. The two Ultra tiers explained
Google sells Ultra at two levels. The $99.99 tier gives you 5x Pro's usage limits and the $199.99 tier gives you 20x. Google's help centre says the storage also depends on your Ultra plan: 20 TB or 30 TB. Both tiers include the same list of features; the difference is how much you can use them, including rate limits for the agent model in Google Antigravity, Google's agentic development platform.
What you get with Google AI Ultra
- The highest access to Gemini 4 Argon, the Pro model and the Flash model in the Gemini app.
- First access to advanced features such as Tasks in Gemini, in select countries.
- 10,000 or 25,000 Google Flow credits for creating scenes and stories with Gemini Omni Flash.

Ultra-only features most people don't know about
Google's help page for Ultra benefits lists some extras that never make the headline. Several are US only, so check before you buy for them.

The family sharing point is the one I'd weigh most. If your household or a small team of family members would each pay for Pro, sharing select Ultra benefits may change the maths.
Usage limits and AI credits
Ultra doesn't mean unlimited. Google says Gemini app limits are compute-based, refresh every five hours and stop at a weekly limit. Each product has its own limits, and when you run out you can buy AI credits to keep going in Google Flow, Google Antigravity and other products that support them. In Antigravity you choose whether credits are used automatically when your baseline quota ends, or never.
You buy extra AI credits through Google One at one.google.com/ai/credits, in various increments. Google adds that credits are deducted at standard API pricing for the model and the complexity of each request, so a heavy agent session can use them faster than you expect. One more detail from the help page: every clip made with Photo to video carries a visible watermark showing it's AI generated.

Is Google AI Ultra worth it?
For most of the business owners I talk to, no. My verdict
