You contact X (Twitter) support through the forms in its Help Center, not by phone or a general email address. X's own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy don't list a customer service phone number or an all-purpose support inbox. They do publish specific routes: an appeal form for suspended accounts, a copyright form plus [email protected], a Privacy Policy Inquiries page, and postal addresses in Austin, Texas and Dublin, Ireland.
So if you've been hunting for an X support email and found nothing, that's why. The right contact depends on what's gone wrong, and if you pick the wrong one you'll wait for a reply that never comes. Here's every official route X names in its own legal pages, matched to the problem it's for.
Which X contact to use for your problem
| Your problem | Official route X names | Where X lists it |
|---|---|---|
| Account suspended and you think it's a mistake | Appeal form in the Help Center (help.x.com/forms/account-access/appeals) | Terms of Service, section 4 |
| Someone copied your photo, video or writing | Copyright reporting form (help.x.com/forms/ipi) or email [email protected] | Terms of Service, section 3 |
| Question about your data or privacy | Privacy Policy Inquiries page, or a letter to X's privacy team | Privacy Policy, section 10 |
| Billing for X Premium bought on iPhone | Apple's App Store subscription settings | Purchaser Terms, X Premium section |
| Billing for X Premium bought on Android | Google Play Store subscription settings | Purchaser Terms, X Premium section |
| Billing for X Premium bought on x.com | Stripe, reached from your X Premium settings on x.com | Purchaser Terms, X Premium section |
| UK user challenging a removal or suspension | X's internal complaints process, or a claim in a competent court | Terms of Service summary (Online Safety Act 2023) |
| EU user challenging a decision | X's internal process or out-of-court dispute settlement | Terms of Service summary (Digital Services Act) |
Is there an X support email address?
There isn't a general one in X's Terms or Privacy Policy. The only email address X prints in its Terms is [email protected], and that's for copyright reports, not login trouble or billing. X lists it for its designated copyright agent, so it's the wrong inbox for account problems.
For almost everything else, X points you to a form. The forms ask for the details X needs to find your account, which is why they work better than a cold email would.
Is there an X customer service phone number?
No phone number appears in X's Terms of Service, Privacy Policy or Purchaser Terms. If a website or a post offers you a Twitter support phone line, treat it with suspicion: X's legal pages give forms, one copyright email and postal addresses, nothing else. Never read a login code or password to anyone who calls you claiming to be X.
How to appeal a suspended X account
X's Terms say that if you believe your account was terminated in error, you can file an appeal by following the steps in its Help Center, at help.x.com/forms/account-access/appeals. The Terms also list the reasons X may suspend or end an account:
- You've broken the Terms or X's Rules and Policies.
- Your account creates risk or possible legal exposure for X.
- The account should be removed because of unlawful conduct.
- The account has been inactive for a long time.
- Providing the service to you is no longer commercially viable.
X says it'll make reasonable efforts to tell you by the email address on your account, or the next time you try to log in. Check that inbox, including spam, before you appeal, so you know which reason X gave. If the problem is a hijacked account rather than a suspension, start with the steps to get a hacked X account back instead.
How to report copyright infringement to X
If someone has posted your work without permission, X gives you two routes in its Terms: the copyright reporting form at help.x.com/forms/ipi, or a notice to its designated copyright agent. The agent's details are:
- X Corp., Attn: Copyright Agent, 800 W Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78701
- Email: [email protected]
How to contact X about your privacy or data
X's Privacy Policy says you can reach it through its Privacy Policy Inquiries page or by writing to the right address for where you live. X takes steps to verify your identity before it acts on an access or deletion request, so write from the email on your account.
| Where you live | Who handles your data | Postal address |
|---|---|---|
| United States and anywhere outside the EU, EFTA States and UK | X Corp. | Attn: Privacy Policy Inquiry, 800 W Cesar Chavez St., Austin, TX 78701 |
| European Union, EFTA States or UK | X Internet Unlimited Company | Attn: Data Protection Officer, One Cumberland Place, Fenian Street, Dublin 2, D02 AX07, Ireland |
| Switzerland (extra option) | X Switzerland GmbH, X's appointed representative | c/o Wasag Treuhand AG, Normannenstrasse 8, Postfach 783, 3018 Bern |
EU users who aren't happy with X's answer can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission, which X names as its lead supervisory authority.
If your message is about your data, the rules are laid out in X's privacy policy.

How to get help with X Premium billing
X's Purchaser Terms are clear that the way you paid decides where you manage the subscription. Bought it in the iPhone app? You manage it in the App Store. Bought it on Android? Google Play. Bought it on the web? Through Stripe, from your X Premium settings on x.com. My guide to cancelling X Premium on each device walks through those screens.
Refunds follow the same split. X's Purchaser Terms say payments are final except where the law requires otherwise, but consumers in the EU and UK have 14 days after purchase to withdraw. If you paid through Apple or Google, you have to ask Apple or Google, not X, because they handle those refunds.
Wondering which company you're writing to? Read X's headquarters and company details.
My verdict
Don't hunt for a phone number or a magic support email, because X doesn't publish one. Match your problem to the right form, give it every detail it asks for, and keep the confirmation. And protect yourself first: X's own Terms tell you to use a strong password and two-factor authentication with an authenticator app or security key, which my X two-factor authentication guide sets up in a few minutes. A locked-down account is one you're far less likely to need support for.

It depends on how you paid. Apple and Google handle refunds for in-app purchases, and web purchases go through Stripe from your X Premium settings. EU and UK consumers have 14 days to withdraw.
