A ticket maker lets you design printable or digital tickets for a show, a party or a raffle, with numbers, stubs and event details. Some are design tools with templates, some are printers that number and deliver tickets and some run the whole raffle online. Nine options follow in no particular order.
School fairs, charity balls, club dinners and village raffles all need tickets, and they're usually designed the week before by a volunteer. The job sounds small until you're numbering two hundred stubs by hand.
The nine tools below cover design tools, template libraries, ticket printers and online raffle and ticketing platforms. They're listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from the vendor's own website, read this week. If you're running the draw online, my guide to doing a raffle online covers the rules and a fair draw.
Ticket makers at a glance
I checked the free plan column on each tool's own website or store listing, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the page says the tool, or a plan, account or version of it, is free. Trial only means a time-limited trial. Not stated means the pages I read named neither, even where there's a button inviting you to try it, so check the vendor's page before you sign up.

A raffle ticket in Great Britain has to carry four details
The Gambling Commission says tickets for a small society lottery must show the name of the society, what each ticket sells for, which must be the same for every ticket, the name and address of the organiser and the date of the draw, or information that lets people work it out.
Most raffle ticket templates are designed for looks, with a big prize line and a pretty border, and the organiser's address is the detail that falls off. If your society's lottery is registered with a local council, add all four details to the stub and the ticket before you print. A one-off raffle drawn at the event itself is often covered by different rules, so check which kind you're running first.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
Design it, print it or run it online?
Designing tickets yourself from a template is quick for small runs, and you'll print and number them at home or at a local printer.
A ticket printer numbers, perforates and delivers the tickets, which saves hours on bigger events and gives a finish that's harder to copy.
An online platform sells tickets, hands out numbers and handles the draw or the check-in, so there's nothing to print at all.
Six things to settle before you design a ticket
- Is it a raffle, an entry ticket or a drink token?
- Do tickets need unique numbers?
- Will there be a stub you keep?
- Which details does the law ask for?
- Will you print at home or order tickets?
- How will you stop people copying them?
Signs your tickets need another look
- There's no number. Add one to ticket and stub.
- The draw date is missing. Put it on both.
- Text runs into the cut line. Leave a margin.
- Anyone could copy it. Number or stamp each one.

My plain advice on making event tickets
Design the stub first. It's the part you keep, so it needs the ticket number, the buyer's name or phone number and anything the rules ask for. Once the stub works, make the ticket match it and keep the decoration light, because tickets get read in a hurry at the door.
If the raffle is one part of a bigger appeal, my list of ways to fundraise online has a few ideas to run alongside it.
Frequently asked questions
How do I make raffle tickets for free?
Use a free template in an online design tool, add the event details and numbers, then print on card and cut along the lines.
What must a raffle ticket show?
For a small society lottery in Great Britain, the society's name, what the ticket sells for, the organiser's name and address and the draw date.
How do I number raffle tickets?
Some design tools and printers add sequential numbers, and online raffle platforms number every entry for you.
Can I sell raffle tickets online?
Yes. Online raffle platforms sell tickets and run the draw, but check your local rules first.
Can I make event tickets with a QR code?
Yes. Digital ticketing tools create secure tickets that can be scanned at the door.
What paper should I print tickets on?
Use thin card rather than standard paper, so the tickets don't tear when you separate the stubs.
