Snapchat Platinum is the top Snapchat+ plan. Snapchat says it includes the 40+ Snapchat+ features, no Story or Lens ads, the Lens+ Plan with exclusive AI-powered Lenses, and 5TB of storage for your Memories.
Snapchat calls it the Platinum Monthly Plan, though its storage help page says Platinum can be paid annually or monthly. You may still see some promoted places and My AI responses, and Snapchat's own fine print says so.

What Platinum adds over standard Snapchat+

- 5TB of Memories storage, the most Snapchat offers.
Everything else is the standard Snapchat+ list: things like #1 Best Friend, custom app icons and themes, Story Rewatch, Story Timestamps and Streak Restore.
Platinum vs Lens+: which one you need
These two get mixed up, so here's the plain difference. Lens+ gives you the Snapchat+ features plus exclusive Lenses and AI features, with the same storage as standard Snapchat+. Platinum includes Lens+, then adds no Story or Lens ads, a bigger AI allowance and 5TB of storage. If you're only after the AI Lenses, Lens+ is the smaller step. If ads and storage bother you too, that's where Platinum earns its place.
You'll find both on the same screen. Snapchat says you go to your Snapchat+ page, tap the banner card and choose Lens+ Monthly or Snapchat+ Platinum, then follow the prompts.
The AI allowance on Platinum
Platinum isn't unlimited. Snapchat says it includes a higher monthly allowance for GenAI-powered Lenses than Lens+. If you use it all in a billing period, Snapchat shows that your creation limit for the month is complete and how many days are left until it resets. Then you wait until your billing date for it to refresh.
What Snapchat Platinum costs
Snapchat doesn't publish one global price for Platinum. Its help pages say Snapchat+ pricing may vary by country and device, and when you tap Subscribe you complete the purchase in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, where you see the price and renewal terms before you confirm.
For comparison, Snapchat does give one storage price. In the US, the 100GB Memories-only plan is $1.99 a month or $20 a year as of October 2026, and Snapchat says prices may vary by market and local currency. If storage is all you're after, that plan or the free download of all your Memories may be enough.
How to subscribe to Snapchat Platinum
- Go to your Profile.
- Tap the Snapchat+ banner card at the top.
- Choose the Platinum Monthly Plan.
- Complete the purchase in the App Store or Google Play Store.
- Wait a few minutes, or restart Snapchat, for the new features to appear and the ads to stop.
Switching to Platinum from another plan
If you already pay for Snapchat+, Snapchat sends you to the App Store on iPhone or the Google Play Store on Android to switch. There's one warning to read twice: if you move from a Family Plan to Platinum, the people you added to your Family Plan lose their Snapchat+ access.
Snapchat also says subscriptions stay on the account you used to subscribe and can't be moved to another account. So make sure you're signed in to the right one before you upgrade.
How to cancel Platinum

When the ads don't stop straight away
Snapchat says that once you've subscribed, you might need to wait a few minutes or restart the app before the new features show and the ads stop. If they're still there after a restart, check you're signed in to the account you upgraded, because a subscription can't move between accounts.
Who Snapchat Platinum is for
Platinum makes sense if you use Snapchat every day, hate Story and Lens ads, play with AI Lenses a lot, or have years of Memories you want stored in the app. For most people, the standard plan already covers the perks they notice, like the half swipe and Story Rewatch.
My verdict
Platinum is Snapchat+ with the ads taken out of Stories and Lenses, more AI and a huge 5TB of storage. Check the price in your own app store before you commit, because Snapchat says it varies by country and device. If you're on a Family Plan, think hard before switching: the people you added lose access the moment you move.
