Write for Us Lawyer: Lawyer Blog Guest Post Guidelines

Yes, guest posts from lawyers and law firm teams are accepted on this blog. The ideal writer is a practising lawyer, solicitor, attorney, practice manager or law firm marketer who can show how a firm wins clients, runs its practice or explains the law to business owners in plain words. We decline legal advice dressed as a blog post, firm brochures and posts with no case, client or practice lesson behind them.

Most law pitches either explain a statute in the abstract or promote one firm's services. What this blog wants is the view from inside a practice: how a small firm gets found by the right clients, how intake and follow up turn enquiries into instructions, how lawyers explain risk so business owners act on it, and what a founder should sort out with a lawyer before small problems grow.

My readers are business owners, founders and marketers, including lawyers who run their own firms. They already read my guides on promoting a law firm online, online marketing for lawyers, how law firms benefit from SEO and content marketing for law firms. A post from a lawyer has to help them grow a practice or make a clearer decision about the law in their business.

60-second law firm guest post check

A strong submission can answer yes to all five points:

  • Have you practised, managed or marketed the legal work you are writing about
  • Can you share a real example, anonymised, with what changed before and after
  • Does your opening answer the reader's question in the first two lines
  • Would a founder or a small firm partner know what to do after reading it
  • Have you removed any sales pitch and any advice that only fits one client

Read the guidelines and submit your guest post.

What we publish

  • Getting found by the right clients as a small or solo law firm
  • Client intake, follow up and reviews that turn enquiries into instructions
  • Content and SEO that build trust for a legal practice
  • Explaining contracts, compliance and disputes in plain words for business owners
  • Practice management and workflow for small firms
  • Using AI in a law firm safely, from the person who set it up
  • What founders should sort out with a lawyer before they grow
  • Building a personal brand as a lawyer on LinkedIn and in the press

If your post could be published on any law firm site with the logo swapped, it is not for us.

What we don't accept

  • Legal advice for one situation presented as general guidance
  • Brochure copy for one firm or legal service
  • Statute summaries with no example of how they affect a business
  • Thin posts under 800 words with no case or practice lesson described
  • Previously published posts republished from another site

What you get

  • Your article in front of an engaged audience of business owners, marketers and founders
  • One relevant, contextual link back to your own site
  • A byline and the credibility of an established, high-traffic blog
  • Editorial help to make the piece as strong as it can be before it goes live

How to submit

Send your pitch or draft through the contact form. Include the topic, the one specific problem the post solves, and a line on your first-hand experience with it. One idea per pitch works best. You will hear back on whether it is a fit before you write the full draft.

What a strong law firm pitch looks like

A weak pitch says "I want to write about why every business needs a lawyer." A strong one says "I run a two partner commercial law firm and I want to show how we rebuilt our enquiry form and first call, what we now ask before we quote, and how that changed which clients instruct us." One is a brochure. The other is worth reading.

The angles that get accepted fastest

  • How your firm wins clients without a big marketing team
  • The intake questions that made your first call more useful
  • A plain words explainer that business clients thanked you for
  • Reviews and referrals in a regulated profession
  • AI in your practice, what you allowed and what you did not
  • The contract clause founders most often get wrong
  • Running a small firm's content without a marketing team
  • What you would do first if you opened your practice again

Frequently asked questions

Does Lilach Bullock accept guest posts from lawyers?

Yes. Guest posts are welcome from lawyers, solicitors, attorneys, practice managers and law firm marketers who can share real practice lessons. We publish practical articles with real examples and decline legal advice for one situation and firm promotion.

What law topics do you accept?

Law firm marketing and client intake, content and SEO for legal practices, practice management, AI in law firms, personal branding for lawyers, and plain words explainers of contracts, compliance and disputes for business owners. The common thread is real experience and a lesson the reader can use.

Is this different from the legal guest post page?

Yes. This page is for lawyers and law firm teams writing about practice and client work. Business legal topics written by other experts suit the legal page better, but every pitch reaches the same editor.

How long should a guest post be?

Most accepted posts run between 1,200 and 2,000 words. Length matters less than usefulness: a tight 1,200 word post with one clear lesson beats a 3,000 word overview every time. Use short paragraphs, clear subheadings and at least one real example.

Can I include a link back to my own site?

One contextual link back to your own site is fine when it is relevant and helps the reader. Posts written purely to build a backlink with no real value for the reader are not published.

Do you accept previously published content?

No. Every submission must be original and not published anywhere else first, including your own blog, Medium, LinkedIn or a guest slot on another site. Republished or lightly reworded content gets declined, and we check before anything goes live.

Can I use AI tools to help write my guest post?

You can use AI to help with research or tidying your draft, but the experience, examples and opinions must be yours. Posts that read like generic AI output, with no first-hand detail, are declined.

Do you accept sponsored or commercial partnerships?

Commercial and partnership enquiries are handled separately from editorial guest posts. If you are a brand or agency wanting to work together rather than pitch an article, say so in the contact form and you will get the right details back.

How long does a decision take?

We aim to come back to you within a few working days. If the pitch is specific and clearly written, with the result in the first line, the decision is much faster.

Do you edit guest posts before they go live?

Yes. Every accepted post gets an editorial pass for clarity, structure and accuracy, and you may be asked for an extra example or a missing number. The aim is to make your piece as useful as it can be, not to change your voice.

Can I pitch more than one idea?

Yes, but send them one at a time or as a short numbered list with one line each. The strongest pitch goes first, and a single clear idea with a real result almost always beats several vague ones.

How do I submit a law firm guest post?

Send your pitch through the contact form with the topic, the specific result or lesson you will cover, and a line on your own experience practising, managing or marketing the legal work you are writing about. One idea per pitch works best, and you will hear back before you write the full draft.
