Meta One is Meta's paid subscription service for Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp and Meta AI. It launched globally on 15 September 2026 with more than 50 features across single-app plans like Instagram Plus, bundles with extra Meta AI usage, and plans for creators and businesses. The core apps and everyday Meta AI stay free; Meta One adds extras on top.
If you've seen Instagram Plus, Facebook Plus or WhatsApp Plus and wondered how they fit together, Meta One is the umbrella. It groups the single-app plans with bigger bundles, and it's the first time Meta has packaged business tools like scheduling and verification into one subscription family.
Here's what each plan includes, who it's for, and the features marketers will care about most.
The Meta One plans at a glance
These are the starting prices Meta published at launch, in US dollars, as of October 2026. Meta says plans, benefits, pricing and availability may vary by region, app and account, so check the subscription screen in your own app.
| Plan | Starting price (US dollars, as of October 2026) | Who it's for |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp Plus | $2.99 a month | WhatsApp users who want themes, icons and more pinned chats |
| Instagram Plus | $3.99 a month | Instagram users who want more ways to express themselves |
| Facebook Plus | $3.99 a month | Facebook users who want customisation and extra reactions |
| Core | $7.99 a month | People who use Meta AI's creative tools often |
| Premium | $19.99 a month | The heaviest Meta AI users |
| Essential | from $14.99 a month | Creators and businesses building trust |
| Advanced | from $49.99 a month | Businesses that need publishing and analytics tools |
| Expert and Max | from $149 and from $499 a month | Teams managing at scale |
What the single-app plans add
| Plan | Examples of features Meta lists |
|---|---|
| Instagram Plus | Custom DM and Story fonts, notifications when certain people view your Story, DM previews |
| Facebook Plus | Custom app icons, super hearts, Messenger customisation, more Reels insights, super reactions on Reels and Feed posts |
| WhatsApp Plus | Exclusive themes and icons, special effect stickers, more pinned chats; storage for chat and media backups and Focus Schedules are coming to test |
A quick note on names: the WhatsApp Plus in Meta One is a plan you buy inside the official WhatsApp app. Don't confuse it with any third-party app using a similar name, and only subscribe through WhatsApp itself.
Core and Premium: more Meta AI
The two individual bundles include the single-app features plus more use of Meta's most compute-heavy AI tools. That means more image and video generation and editing with Meta AI, powered by Meta's Muse models, and more use of in-app AI tools like Restyle on Instagram and voice effects.
Meta is clear that Meta AI stays free for everyday use. Core and Premium are for people who want more creative headroom. In Meta's early testing, more than half of subscribers used both the AI and the expression features in the bundles.
The business and creator plans
This is the part I'd read twice if you market on Instagram or Facebook. Meta lists these features for the creator and business plans:
- An enhanced profile that showcases your website, locations and what people say about you
- A bold follow button on your Reels
- Follow invitations sent automatically to people who engage with your content
- More access to Meta Business Agent, so you can reply to customers day and night
- Essential: a verified badge, a verified channel on the WhatsApp Business app and impersonation protection, pending successful verification
- Advanced: scheduling Stories up to 30 days ahead, links in organic posts and Reels, exportable analytics, deeper audience insights, team access without sharing your password, and more linked devices and business broadcast credits on WhatsApp
Links in organic posts and Reels is the headline for marketers. For years the usual workaround has been a link in bio. If that feature works as described in your region, it changes how you drive traffic from Instagram.
Meta also says Edits Plus is coming to Meta One, with more cloud storage to sync projects across devices and more use of an upcoming Edits assistant that helps you analyse your Instagram insights and brainstorm ideas.
Is Meta One worth it?
| If you | My suggestion |
|---|---|
| Use Instagram for fun | Stay on free unless a specific Instagram Plus feature matters to you |
| Create a lot with Meta AI | Try Core for a month and see if you hit the free limits |
| Run a small business account | Compare Essential with the verification you already have, then look hard at Advanced for links and scheduling |
| Manage several brands or a team | Look at Advanced and above for team access and analytics |
Before you subscribe, start the sign-up flow and read the feature list on your own account. Meta says that's where you'll see exactly what's available to you.

Questions to ask Meta AI before you pick a plan
Choose a plan
I run a small skincare brand on Instagram and WhatsApp.
Based on Meta One's plans, which features would help me get more sales from organic posts, and which would I probably never use?
My take
Meta One is Meta finally charging for the extras power users and businesses have asked for, while leaving the basics free. For most people, the free apps are enough. For businesses, the Advanced plan's links in organic posts and the scheduling tools are the features to test. If verification is your main reason, compare it with what Meta Verified costs, and if you're mainly after the AI tools, my guide on how to use Meta AI covers what you get free. If you'd like help deciding where AI and paid tools fit in your marketing, that's what I do in my one-to-one sessions.
