  1. Create A Page Or Blog Post For Every Episode

You should give each new episode an individual page or blog post. The URLs should have a title for the episode, and it should be inclusive of the primary keyword. Use the blog post or page for advertising the podcast and improving its presence and reputation so that listeners can locate it via different directories. You can also have the podcasts available for download directly on your website or blog.

  1. Leverage Your Social Media Accounts

If you are on social media, and you are keen on improving your ranking on Google search results, then you should know you to leverage your social media presence. You will achieve this by ensuring that you post often. The content you share should highlight your industry or business. Google has set its search engine to focus on the material on Facebook, Instagram, and Tweeter, among other social media platforms to quantify its relevance. As such, you should make the most of your active presence on social media accounts. It will help increase your profiles and have you, your website, or content featured on the high slots on Google search rankings.

  1. Keywords For Each Episode

Every podcast should be optimized using a keyword. Ensure that you keep your phrases or words short search queries will rely on them to know what the article you posted or shared is about. Short keywords are ideal because they can be used in different search criteria. Avoid using too many keywords for a single episode because they will dilute the point of the content. Pick something concise as your primary keyword and then two or three more others as secondary or supplementary keywords. You will have the main keyword in the titles of the podcasts and episodes you post.

  1. Research Your Keywords

Keywords may be losing face in what matters regarding being noticed by search engines, but they cannot be undervalued. The use of keywords is still relevant; that is why they are an essential element in titles, descriptions, and content. Therefore, you need to use relevant keywords. Research them so that they pick the kind that is associated with the results you want.

  1. Post Content Regularly

Content will always be at the heart of what drives SEO; that is why you should generate and publish new material regularly. It will encourage your listeners to engage with you. However, do not be quick to assume that this will help your podcast rank highly on Google search if you not don update the content you share often. Use alternatives such as show notes, blog posts, transcripts, and other forms, including recaps and episode descriptions.

  1. Faultless Titles

Every title you use for your podcast or individual episode should describe the content you publish. The keywords should not be wordy; instead, then should embody your episodes and podcast. Listens should be able to deduce what to expect because the titles are descriptive, unique, keyword-focused, and compelling. The keyword you use in the headings should speak about or embody your topic.

  1. Meta Description

Ensure that the page you are hosting your podcast on has a good meta description. You may not have a lot of characters for this, but you must include keywords. Use the appropriate keyword or phrase at least once. Also, ensure that your meta description reads well. It should draw in the targeted audience and help build good links to your website that search engines can crawl for ranking purposes.

  1. Use Internal Links

When visitors come to your website, you will want them to come back again and again. The same applies to podcasts. You want to create loyalty in your target audience. You can achieve this by ensuring that you churn out content that they cannot get enough of, regularly.

You should do things based on the principle of โ€œask, and you shall receive.โ€ You can leave options for them to make a request or leave a link for them to listen to another related episode. You can leave two or three links to a few episodes.

Make sure that you categorize your pages or have a category list for users to conveniently navigate the website. You can group the podcasts based on the theme or any other related element. Include links so that they help with not only enhancing user experience but also the distribution of authority between pages. It will also help the pages rank high in search results. With the links, you can look up the most commanding pages and share the juice content by linking them to your podcast episodes.

  1. Insert An Image

Make use of images on the blog posts or webpages. Google has increased the focus of its search engine algorithms also to take note of images. Therefore, the pictures you post on your website play a role in optimizing it for search engines. Use keywords in their title, captions, and even tagged text; these are what Google will analyze for ranking of your page and site.
