TikTok doesn't pay UAE-based creators per 1,000 views, because the Creator Rewards Program isn't open in the United Arab Emirates. Creators in the UAE earn from TikTok through LIVE Gifts, Subscription and brand campaigns, with payouts to a supported bank or PayPal account and no per-view rate in dirhams.
Dubai and Abu Dhabi are full of creators with polished content and audiences spread across the world. That's exactly why the per-view question comes up so often in the UAE: if half your viewers are in London or New York, surely TikTok pays for them? Here's how the rules work, and why the answer depends on where you live, not where your viewers are.
Can UAE residents join TikTok Creator Rewards?
Not at the moment. TikTok's Creator Academy lists the programme as open to creators in eight countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, South Korea, France, Mexico and Brazil. Creators must be based in one of those countries and have their account registered there. The UAE isn't on the list, so an Emirates-based account can't apply, however many followers it has.
TikTok's other eligibility rules apply on top: a Personal Account rather than a Business Account, age 18 or over, at least 10,000 followers and 100,000 video views in the last 30 days. Those numbers only matter once you live in an eligible country.
Your international audience and the per-view rules
This is the part that surprises UAE creators. TikTok counts a qualified view only when it comes from one of the same eight countries, lasts at least five seconds and isn't paid or fraudulent. So for an eligible creator, viewers in the UK or US would count, while viewers in the Emirates wouldn't.
For a creator living in the UAE, though, none of those views earn per-view rewards, because the creator's own location rules them out first. A global audience is still valuable. It just pays through brands rather than through a TikTok rate.
How UAE creators earn from TikTok instead
Brand campaigns
This is the main income route for most creators in the Emirates. Hospitality, fashion, beauty, property and travel brands all pay creators directly, and TikTok One brings brand campaigns into the app. A creator whose audience includes buyers in the Gulf and Europe can price higher than one with a purely local following.
LIVE Gifts
At 18 or the age of majority you can go LIVE and turn on Gifts. Viewers send virtual Gifts, you collect Diamonds, and TikTok converts them at a rate it sets. TikTok's Going LIVE guide says rewards can go to an external bank or PayPal account depending on your region.
Subscription
Fans pay you a monthly amount from TikTok's price tiers in their own currency, and TikTok says creators keep 70% of the revenue after app store fees.
Receiving TikTok money in dirhams
The Emirati dirham, code AED, is the official currency and is pegged to the US dollar. That peg makes it easier to plan around rewards paid in dollars, though TikTok says the payout currency depends on the payment method you choose. You'll need to add a payment method, tax information and identity verification before any payout date appears in your Balance.

TikTok says a minimum payout threshold may apply depending on your payment method, and that a maximum also applies which varies by region. Rewards may be taxable under local laws, and TikTok can't give personal tax advice, so check your own position with a UAE accountant.
What sets the value of a UAE creator's views
- Where your audience lives and how much it spends. TikTok's audience commercial value guide says purchasing power and buying intent shape what advertisers pay.
- Language. TikTok notes that content in a natural local language can lift engagement, so Arabic and English versions can reach different buyers.
- Niche. Luxury, property and travel content attracts bigger brand budgets than general entertainment.
- Proof. Brands pay more when you can show results from past campaigns.
YouTube and Facebook from the Emirates
If you want views to pay directly, YouTube is the strongest option from the UAE. The Emirates are on both the YouTube Partner Program list and the expanded programme list, Super Chat and channel memberships are available, and AdSense pays in the UAE by check, EFT or wire with a threshold of AED 350. The UAE isn't on the IRS list of US tax treaties, which affects withholding on YouTube earnings from US viewers.
