TikTok One Requirements for Creators, Explained

TikTok One is TikTok's platform for connecting creators with brands. To join as a creator, TikTok's support page says you need at least 10,000 followers, 1,000 post views and 3 posts in the last 30 days, to be 18 or over and to have an account in good standing, and TikTok One has to be live in your region.

TikTok rolled its creator tools for brand work into TikTok One, and the requirements have two layers: the bar to join, and the bar for individual projects. TikTok's own pages give slightly different numbers for each, so here's how they fit together.

The requirements to join

RequirementTikTok's rule
FollowersAt least 10,000 (may vary by region)
ViewsAt least 1,000 post views in the last 30 days
Posts3 posts in the last 30 days
AgeAt least 18 (may differ by region)
StandingNo history of repeatedly breaking the Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
RegionTikTok One has launched in your country or region

You also need to meet TikTok's Branded Content Policy, which is the rulebook for any post made with a brand.

Why you'll see 1,000 followers quoted too

TikTok's business help article on signing up says that to take part in projects, creators must have at least 1,000+ followers plus other requirements, and that project requirements vary and can change. Its support page sets the joining bar at 10,000 followers. The way I read the two together: 10,000 is the standard entry bar, which can vary by region, while individual brand projects set their own minimums, some as low as 1,000. If you're under 10,000, check eligibility anyway rather than assuming you're out, because the region and project rules can work in your favour.

How to check and join, step by step

  1. In the TikTok app, tap your Profile icon.
  2. Tap the menu at the top and choose TikTok Studio.
  3. In the Monetization tab, find the TikTok One entry (tap View all if it's hidden).
  4. Tap Check eligibility.
  5. If you're eligible, tap Join and follow the steps.

TikTok's business help page lists other ways in: searching 'TikTok One' in the app, following TikTok's sign-up link or QR code, or joining through an agency's invitation link. TikTok One on the web is set up for Business Accounts.

Agency and business routes

You don't have to go through the app on your own. TikTok's business help page says creators can join through an agency's invitation link, and its support page notes that TikTok One on the web is set up for people with Business Accounts. If you're managed, ask your agency for the invitation rather than signing up separately, so your account is linked to them from the start.

Region makes a difference

Two of TikTok's requirements come with a regional caveat: the 10,000 follower bar may vary by region, and the 18 age bar may differ by region. And TikTok One has to have launched in your country at all. So two creators with the same numbers can get different answers from Check eligibility. That's not a bug; it's the regional rules.

Keeping your account eligible

  • Post at least 3 times every 30 days; the posting and view bars are rolling, not one-off.
  • Stay clear of repeated rule breaks. TikTok checks your history, not just today's status.
  • Disclose brand content clearly using TikTok's content disclosure setting, in line with the Branded Content Policy.

My verdict

If you're near 10,000 followers and posting steadily, check eligibility now; it takes a minute. If you're not, focus on the 30 day numbers you control, views and posts, and keep an eye out for projects with a lower bar. Strong editing helps both, so it's worth learning how to edit a video on your iPhone and trim a video on iPhone cleanly.
