This is the detail I'd flag to any client using a promo. You keep your search history on the free plan too, so nothing you did during the trial is lost when it ends.

Perplexity's terms give the exact route: go to perplexity.ai/account/details while logged in, select View details, then Cancel subscription. You can do this at any time during the trial. If you don't, Perplexity says you'll be charged the then-current price for the plan when the trial ends.
