Noom Free Trial: 7 Days, No Reminder Email, and the Refund Window

Noom Weight has a 7-day trial, according to Noom's own pricing guide. Noom's terms say your first payment is charged as soon as the trial ends unless you cancel, and that you won't get a separate notice that the trial is about to end. To avoid being charged for the next period, cancel before 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on the day before your billing date.

Noom is clear in its terms about how trials work, but you have to read them to find the important line. The one I'd want every reader to know is the missing reminder: Noom tells you the trial terms when you register and doesn't promise to warn you again before it bills you.

What Noom Weight costs after the trial

Noom's support page lists its Noom Weight plan prices before taxes or discounts. A few examples, as of October 2026:

  • 1 month (monthly plan): $70.
  • 3 months: $159.
  • 6 months: $179.
  • 12 months (annual plan): $209.

Noom says your final plan recommendation is personalised from your quiz results and pricing can vary with promotions or signup method, such as app versus website. Medication isn't included with Noom Weight plans. Before you start the trial, check which plan length it rolls into, because that decides how much the first charge will be.

The Noom Med trial is different

If you're looking at Noom's medication programmes, the trial works differently. Noom's cost guide says Telehealth for Branded Medications starts at $39 for an initial 30-day trial, with medication not included, as of October 2026. That's a paid trial, not a free one, and Noom's refund policy says refunds there may be available within 7 days of your first charge unless a clinical visit has already happened.

How to cancel the Noom free trial

Noom gives three routes. Use the one that matches where you signed up:

In the Noom app

  1. Open the app and tap your profile picture in the top left.
  2. Tap Settings, then Manage Subscription.
  3. Follow the prompts to cancel.

On the web

  1. Sign in to the Noom Subscription Portal with your Noom login.
  2. On the main page, click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Follow the on-screen steps.

Through the App Store or Google Play

  1. Open your device's app store subscription settings.
  2. Find your Noom subscription.
  3. Cancel it there. Noom says app store subscriptions must be cancelled directly through the store.

Noom repeats one warning on several support pages: uninstalling the app doesn't cancel your subscription. And its terms say that if you cancel during a free trial, the cancellation may take effect immediately, so you may lose access straight away rather than at the end of the seven days.

Refunds if the trial turns into a charge

Noom's refund policy says Noom Weight refunds may be available if you ask within 14 days of your first charge. Renewal charges aren't refundable. To ask, use the chat button on Noom's support pages or its contact form, with the date of the charge and your reason. California residents also have a separate right in Noom's terms to cancel within three business days of signing up by sending a signed, dated written notice by post.

Who the Noom trial suits

Noom describes Noom Weight as a behaviour change programme with psychology-based lessons, habit tracking and optional coaching. That suits people who know what to eat but struggle to stick to it, and who'll read a short lesson most days. It suits you less if you only want a calorie counter, because you'd be paying for lessons you skip. If you run a busy business, ask yourself honestly whether you'll read the lessons, because logging food is the easy part. Use the trial week to see which camp you're in before the first payment lands.

One more check while you're in the trial: Noom's billing page says add-ons such as Premium coaching or meal and exercise plans are billed separately from your main programme and follow their own billing cycle. If you add one during the trial, cancel it separately too, or it may keep charging after the main plan stops.

Getting the most from seven days

  1. If you signed up on the web, install the app and enter your Unique Program ID. Noom says it's in an email titled Here's your Noom Unique Program ID.
  2. Log food and steps every day of the trial, not just the first two.
  3. Read the daily lessons, because the psychology content is what you're paying for.
  4. On day five, open Manage Subscription and check the plan length and first charge.
  5. Decide on day six, and cancel well before the Eastern time deadline if you're not staying.

If you'd rather track without a subscription, compare the best calorie counter apps and these MyFitnessPal alternatives before you commit.

My verdict

The Noom free trial gives you a week to see whether its lessons and tracking change your habits, which is a fair test. The risk is in the small print, not the product: no promised reminder, a deadline set in Eastern time, and an immediate charge when the trial ends. Set your own reminder for day five, check which plan you're rolling into, and remember the 14-day refund window on your first Noom Weight charge if you miss it.
