Later Pricing: The Three Plans, Social Sets and Add-Ons Explained

Later has three paid plans: Starter at $18.75 a month, Growth at $37.50 a month and Scale at $82.50 a month, all billed yearly, as of October 2026. Each one starts with a 14-day free trial, and the plan you need depends on how many social sets, users and posts you want.

Here's the catch. That $18.75 is the yearly-billing price after Later's banner discount (the page shows "3 months free, 25% off"), and it only covers one user and one profile per network. Later's pricing page shows a 14-day free trial, not a free plan. These are Later's US prices in US dollars with taxes extra, so readers in other countries may see different numbers or availability.

Later's plans side by side

This is how the three plans line up on Later's pricing page, as of October 2026. Every price here is billed yearly:

What a social set is

Later doesn't count accounts the way most schedulers do. It sells social sets. One social set includes one profile from each network Later supports: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Threads, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Snapchat. That's why one set equals 8 profiles.

The rule that trips people up is "one of each". If you run two Instagram accounts, say a shop and a personal brand, one set won't cover both, because a set holds a single Instagram profile. You'd need a second set, and Starter has only one with no option to add more. Growth gives you two sets and Scale gives you six.

What each plan includes

Starter

Starter is for one person managing one brand. You get 1 social set, 1 user, up to 30 scheduled posts per profile, 5 AI credits a month, platform analytics going back up to 3 months, link in bio and basic support. Extra social sets, extra users and extra AI credits aren't available on Starter, so if you outgrow it, the only route is up a plan.

Growth

Growth is where team features start. You get 2 social sets, 2 users, up to 180 posts per profile and 50 AI credits a month, with analytics going back up to 1 year. It adds the social inbox, content approvals and external collaboration, custom roles and permissions, and UGC collection.

Scale

Scale gives you 6 social sets, 4 users, unlimited posts, 100 AI credits a month and analytics going back up to 2 years, with priority support. It also adds Meta Ads analytics, custom analytics, competitive benchmarking against up to 20 competitors, industry insights (which Later lists as coming), brand health and brand mentions.

Add-ons you can buy

Add-ons are only sold on Growth and Scale. As of October 2026, Later lists them at these prices:

  • Extra social sets: $11.25 a month each.
  • Extra users: $3.75 a month each.
  • Extra AI credits: $3.75 a month for 100 credits a month.

AI credits power Later's Ideas and Caption Writer. Later says 1 credit generates 3 ideas or 1 caption, so Starter's 5 credits a month gives you 5 captions, and that's it. If you lean on AI for captions, Growth's 50 credits is the more realistic starting point.

Features that need Growth or above

Some of the features people expect from a scheduler sit behind Growth. Here's what Later's comparison shows:

Work with me

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

  • Best time to post: Instagram, TikTok and Facebook best times are on every plan, but multi-profile best times need Growth or above.
  • Collecting media: gathering content by tags and mentions needs Growth or above, and so does Instagram product tagging.
  • Team tools: Starter has 1 access group, while Growth and Scale have unlimited. Sharing the calendar, calendar notes, post comments, the activity log and the content approval workflow all start at Growth.
  • Social inbox: replying to Instagram, Facebook and TikTok conversations from Later starts at Growth.

What's on every plan: link in bio buttons, linked posts, affiliate links and a Mailchimp connection, plus unlimited media storage. File limits are 20MB per photo and 512MB per video.

How far back analytics go

Analytics history is one of the clearest differences between the plans. For Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and Threads, Starter keeps up to 3 months, Growth up to 1 year and Scale up to 2 years. Pinterest analytics are up to 3 months on every plan. If you report to a client or a boss on year-on-year results, Starter won't hold that data, so check this before you pick a tier.

Choosing your Later plan in five steps

  1. Start the 14-day free trial on the plan you think fits.
  2. Connect your profiles, remembering that one social set covers one profile per network.
  3. Schedule a week of posts on the visual planner and see whether 30 posts per profile on Starter is enough.
  4. If you need more AI credits or users, you'll have to be on Growth or Scale, because Starter can't add them.
  5. Check how much analytics history you need before you commit to a yearly plan.

My verdict

Later is built for people who live on Instagram and TikTok, and its visual planner shows it. Starter is fine if it's just you, one brand and one account per network. But it's tight for anyone else: one user, 30 posts per profile, 5 AI credits and no way to add more. For a small team, Growth is the plan I'd start on, because that's where approvals, the social inbox, shared calendars and a year of analytics come in. Scale only makes sense if you're juggling lots of brands or want competitor benchmarking. And remember the prices you see are billed yearly, so use the 14-day trial to be sure before you pay. If you're still comparing tools, have a look at other schedulers that do a similar job, or read my Later vs Buffer breakdown.
