How to make 400 credits go further
- Write your outline before you prompt Gamma, so the first generation is close to right.
- Start with a short deck of up to 10 slides, the free limit per prompt.
- Edit text by hand rather than regenerating whole slides.
- Import an existing PDF or PPTX and refine it, instead of building from scratch.
- Export to PPTX or Google Slides once it's close, and finish it there.

Gamma says you can create your own company-branded theme in its theme builder, and that its public API, usable directly by developers or through no-code tools like Zapier and Make, is available on all plans. If you cancel a paid plan, Gamma says you keep your paid features and credits until the end of your current billing period, and your content stays yours afterwards, with some advanced features limited.
My advice
Treat Gamma Free as a trial with a fuel tank, not a free plan you'll live on. Plan your outline first, generate short, and finish the deck in PowerPoint or Google Slides after export so you don't burn credits on small edits. If you make decks every week or present under your own brand, Plus is where Gamma becomes a working tool rather than a test.
