The best AI pitch deck generators turn a short description of your business into a structured deck with slides for the problem, solution, market, traction and ask. Presentation platforms suit teams that edit together, while pitch-specific tools add reviews, research and even human design help. Nine options follow in no particular order.
A pitch deck isn't really about slides. It's about telling a clear story about a problem, your answer to it and why now, and most founders know that story far better than they can design it.
AI pitch deck tools help with the design and structure so you can focus on the story. The nine below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from the tool's own website, read this week. For the bigger picture, my guide to startup funding covers where a deck fits.

A UK step to take before the deck goes out
If you're raising from UK angels, there's something worth doing before you send a single deck. GOV.UK explains that asking HMRC whether an investment would meet the conditions of a venture capital scheme, such as SEIS or EIS, is called advance assurance, and you can use it to show potential investors that the investment may qualify. Applicants usually need to provide potential investor details.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
If your investors are likely to ask about these schemes, having an answer ready helps the conversation. Just be careful with wording on the funding slide: advance assurance relates to certain scheme conditions based on the information you provided, and GOV.UK says it shouldn't be taken as a more general endorsement.
Presentation platforms versus pitch-specific tools
Presentation platforms create any kind of deck with AI and are great for teams who edit and present together. Tools built only for pitching focus on investor decks, with structures, reviews, research and sometimes access to designers or fundraising support.
If you already know your story, a presentation platform is quick and flexible. If you're pitching for the first time, an investor-focused tool can stop you missing a slide investors expect.
Questions to ask before you choose a pitch deck tool
- Does it give me a structure investors expect?
- Can I use my own brand colours, fonts and logo?
- Can I export to PowerPoint or PDF for investors?
- Does it track who opened the deck and for how long?
- Can my co-founder and I edit together?
- Will it help me tighten the words, not just the design?
Signs your pitch deck isn't ready
- You can't explain it in one sentence. Tighten the story.
- The ask slide is vague. Say what you need and why.
- Slides are crammed with text. One idea per slide.
- It only works when you present it. Make it readable alone.
Do you make an AI pitch deck generator? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.
My plain advice on choosing an AI pitch deck generator
Write the story before you open any tool. One sentence each for the problem, your solution, who it's for, why now and what you're asking for. Then let the AI build slides around those sentences, and cut anything that doesn't support them. Investors remember clarity, not animations.
Practise saying it out loud too. A deck is often sent first and presented later, so it needs to work on its own and in the room. My roundup of free AI presentation makers has more options if you need slides for other meetings.
Frequently asked questions
What is an AI pitch deck generator?
An AI pitch deck generator creates a structured investor presentation from a description of your business, with slides for the problem, solution, market, traction and ask.
Are there free AI pitch deck generators?
Some tools offer free starts or trials. The free plan column above shows what each tool's own site says.
What is SEIS or EIS advance assurance?
GOV.UK says it's when you ask HMRC whether an investment would meet a venture capital scheme's conditions, which you can use to show potential investors the investment may qualify.
How many slides should a pitch deck have?
Enough to tell the story clearly and no more. Most founders cover the problem, solution, market, business model, traction, team and ask.
Can AI write my pitch for me?
It can draft the structure and wording, but the insight, numbers and conviction need to come from you.
Should I send my deck as a PDF?
A PDF is safest for sharing, while some tools also let you send a link and see when investors open it.
