There's no single Cameo price, because each celebrity or creator sets their own price for a personal video. As of October 2026, Cameo's Talent Terms say a booking fee must be at least US$5.00 unless it's free or Cameo agrees otherwise in writing, and you may also pay service, transaction or processing fees plus sales tax where it applies. All Cameo prices are listed and charged in US dollars, and business videos are priced separately from personal ones.
Cameo is one of those things people book for a birthday, then wonder about the small print afterwards. I've pulled everything from Cameo's own terms and help centre so you know what you're paying for, when you're charged, and how refunds work before you book.
Who sets the price on Cameo
The talent does. Cameo's Talent Hub tells celebrities and creators that they set their price and get paid per request, and suggests starting lower to be accessible to fans, then raising the price as demand grows. Cameo's help centre shows talent changing their price for fan videos, direct messages and business videos separately, in their profile under Pricing.
So the price you see on a profile is the talent's choice, and it can change. The figure next to their name is what you're paying for that person's time on that day.
Cameo costs at a glance
| Cost | What Cameo says, as of October 2026 |

| Extra fees | Any applicable service, transaction or processing fees are added |
| Sales tax | Collected in addition to the fee where Cameo has to collect it |
| Currency | Every price is listed and charged in US dollars, wherever you are |
| Tip | Optional, but at least US $5.00 if you leave one, and tips aren't refundable |
| 24 hour delivery | An optional upgrade, only where the talent offers it |
| Gift cards | Opening balance between US$10 and US$500 |
Why the price can be higher in the iPhone app
This is the detail most people never spot. Cameo's Talent Hub explains that prices in the iOS app must match an available Apple price point. If there isn't an identical one, the app uses the closest price point that's not less than the talent's price. Cameo's own example is a booking fee of US $5.00 becoming US $5.99 in the iOS app.
So if you're booking from an iPhone, check the price on cameo.com in a browser too. The website price can be lower, and as you'll see below, refunds are simpler on the website as well.
When you're charged
| Where you book | When you pay | If the video isn't made |
|---|---|---|
| Cameo website | A hold is placed when you book; the charge is captured only when the video is delivered | The hold is released and you're never charged |
| Android app | Payment is taken when you book | An automatic refund within 5 to 7 business days |
| iOS app | Payment goes through Apple when you book | Cameo credits go back to your account; you can ask Apple for a cash refund instead |
Cameo's help centre says the talent typically has up to 7 days to complete a request. If they decline or the request expires, your payment comes back automatically, and you don't need to contact anyone.
Refunds: what you can and can't get back
- You can cancel any time before the talent completes the video, from cameo.com/orders, the app or the link in your confirmation email.
- Once a video is delivered, Cameo's terms say you can't return or exchange it and no refunds will be issued.
- If a talent makes a clear factual mistake from your instructions, like the wrong name, Cameo says a redo may be possible, at the talent's discretion.
- If you paid for 24 hour delivery and the talent misses it, the upgrade fee is refunded automatically on website and Android bookings, and the talent then has up to 4 days from your original request.
- Paid Cameo direct messages are charged when you send them and aren't refunded if the talent doesn't reply.
Cameo credits from iOS refunds can be swapped for cash through Apple. Cameo's terms say other credit balances aren't refundable and can't be used outside Cameo.
Business Cameos cost more and come with a licence
If you want a celebrity to mention your business, you need a business video, not a personal one. Cameo's terms say a personal video is for personal, non commercial use, so posting a fan video on your company page isn't covered. Cameo's Talent Hub tells talent that brands will pay a higher price for business videos, and talent set a separate business price.
Every business video includes a licence for 15 days of use, and you can buy more time, up to 90 days in total, during booking or before the 15 days run out. Talent have up to 7 days to deliver. Cameo's help centre also says business videos, like all Cameo videos, are non refundable, though you can ask its team to review one you believe is unusable. Cameo's terms also make you responsible for adding any disclosure the law requires, such as #ad.

The bottom line
A Cameo costs whatever the talent decides, from a minimum booking fee of US$5.00 upwards, plus any fees and tax, all in US dollars, as of October 2026. Book on the website if you can, because you're only charged when the video arrives and you may avoid the higher iOS price. For business use, buy a business video and plan your posting around the 15 day licence, because a personal one won't cover it.
