Facebook Account Quality is now called Meta Business Support Home: the old facebook.com/accountquality address is the link Meta's own help pages use for it. It's where you see whether your ad accounts, Pages, business portfolios, catalogs or personal profile have advertising restrictions, track rejected ads, check your feedback score and request a review.
If an ad account has been disabled or your ads have stopped, this is the first screen to open, because it tells you which asset is restricted and what Meta wants from you. Here's how to read it and work through the fixes in the order Meta asks for them.
What Business Support Home shows you
Meta lists five things you can do there:
- Review the status of your business portfolios, ad accounts, commerce accounts, catalogs and Pages.
- Address issues caused by not complying with the Advertising Standards, Commerce Policies or other policies and terms.
- View and track rejected ads and rejected items from your product catalog.
- Review your feedback score.
- Contact support.
You'll also find it in Meta Business Suite under All tools, next to Ads Manager, Events Manager and Billing and payments. The suite itself is free, as I cover in is Meta Business Suite free.
How to check your account status
- Go to Business Support Home (facebook.com/accountquality still takes you there).
- Click the calendar icon in the top right and pick the last 14, 30 or 90 days.
- In Recent account issues, open the Outstanding tab to see current problems and the actions available.
- Open Resolved to see issues already cleared, and click any account for detail.
Meta adds one useful extra: from the account overview you can check whether an email, text or call claiming to be from a Meta representative about account issues is real. Use that before clicking any link in a warning message.
Which asset is restricted, and what that blocks
Restrictions can sit on four different things, and the effect depends on which one Meta has flagged:
| Restricted asset | What Meta says it means |
|---|---|
| Business portfolio | The portfolio isn't allowed to advertise |
| Ad account | The ad account, its ads and some of its advertising assets are disabled |
| Page | The Page isn't allowed to advertise |
| Personal profile | That person can't advertise or create new ads; ad accounts where they're the only user may also be disabled, though other members may still advertise |
Not every restriction is a ban. Meta's list also includes limits on how much you can spend per day or a lower payment threshold, losing some payment or advertising features, and, for unusual activity, losing the ability to add admins, partners or users or to create new ad accounts while Meta investigates.
The steps Meta may ask for
Open the restricted account in Account status overview and look for the What you can do section. Depending on the case, Meta may ask you to:
| Step | What it involves |
|---|---|
| Confirm your identity | Possibly your account email, a phone for an SMS code, a photo of your ID such as a passport or driving licence, and the payment method on the account |
| Complete verification | Shown as Start verification or Request review when Meta sees unusual behaviour and wants to confirm it's really you |
| Secure your account | Turn on two-factor authentication, verify the email on your business portfolio, then ask someone with full control to approve your access |
| Request a review | Only an admin on the account can request one |
Meta notes that once you start identity confirmation you may need to finish it within a set timeframe, so start when you have your ID and phone to hand.
Two rules worth knowing before you panic
- Two-factor authentication is a requirement, not a nice extra. Users of a business portfolio that's over 90 days old may need it on, and Meta says it may restrict access to Meta Business Suite tools until it's on. Where that's the restriction, Meta says it reinstates the account once two-factor authentication is on.
- The 6-month cliff. If an ad account disabled for a policy violation stays ineligible for reinstatement for 6 months, unused prepaid services may be forfeited where the law allows, and after that the account can't be reinstated. Meta also reserves the right to disable an account permanently before then.
Why accounts get restricted in the first place
Meta gives three broad triggers: it suspects your portfolio or assets have been compromised or hacked; it wants to be sure you're consistently following its policies, so it limits daily spend, billing frequency or payment features for a while; or it sees unusual payment or account activity, high rates of failed payments or disputed payments. My verdict
Bookmark facebook.com/accountquality and check it before you assume an ad problem is creative or targeting. Most of what Meta asks for is identity, verification and two-factor authentication, which you can clear in one sitting if you have your ID and phone ready. Request a review only after you've done the steps in What you can do, and never ignore a disabled ad account for months.

Frequently asked questions
Where is Facebook Account Quality now?
It's now Meta Business Support Home. Meta's own help pages link to it at facebook.com/accountquality, so that address still takes you to the right place.
How do I check if my ad account is restricted?
Open Business Support Home, pick a date range, then look at the Outstanding tab under Recent account issues. It shows current restrictions and the actions you can take.
Who can request a review of a disabled ad account?
Meta says you must be an admin on the account to request a review.
Can a disabled ad account be restored after 6 months?
Meta says if an ad account disabled for a policy violation stays ineligible for reinstatement for 6 months, it can't be reinstated after that, and unused prepaid services may be forfeited where allowed by law.
Why does Meta ask me to turn on two-factor authentication?
Users of a business portfolio that's over 90 days old may need it to meet Meta's security requirements. Without it, Meta may restrict your access to Meta Business Suite tools.
