Hootsuite Pricing: Standard, Professional, Advanced and Enterprise

As of October 2026, Hootsuite's Standard plan is $99 per user a month, Professional is $199 per user a month and Advanced is $399 per user a month, based on annual billing and excluding tax. Enterprise is priced on request, and the paid plans have a free 14-day trial.

Hootsuite is one of the longest-running social media management platforms, and its pricing reflects that it's built for teams handling a lot of accounts and messages. Before you compare it with lighter schedulers, it helps to see what each plan is designed to do and how the per-user pricing adds up.

Hootsuite plans and prices

PlanPrice per user a monthSocial accountsBuilt for
Standard$99Up to 10Managing accounts from one calendar
Professional$199UnlimitedAutomating repetitive work
Advanced$399UnlimitedApprovals and co-working across teams
EnterpriseCustomUnlimitedGovernance and advanced tools across an organisation

Hootsuite says the displayed prices are in US dollars, based on annual billing, and don't include applicable taxes. Its FAQ confirms monthly billing is also available on Standard, Professional and Advanced, and that annual billing gives a lower per-user monthly rate than month to month.

What each Hootsuite plan includes

  • Standard: up to 10 social accounts, unlimited scheduled posts, AI post and image generation, one inbox for messages, brand and competitor monitoring, and as many user seats as you need.
  • Professional: everything in Standard plus unlimited social accounts, automated inbox replies and workflows, trend forecasts up to 90 days ahead and custom performance reports.
  • Advanced: everything in Professional plus content review and approval, auto-routing messages to the right team member, coordinated content and customer care, and team performance measurement.
  • Enterprise: everything in Advanced plus advanced analytics, advanced listening across social, digital and AI, single sign-on and custom compliance solutions.

Every plan runs on Wisdom, Hootsuite's AI teammate, which drafts, recommends and analyses across the platform.

Per-user pricing adds up fast

The most important word on Hootsuite's pricing page is per user. Standard at $99 is the price for one person. If three people need their own logins, you're paying for three seats. That's very different from per-channel schedulers, where one person can manage several accounts for a small fixed price.

For a solo business owner managing a few accounts, that makes Hootsuite a big step up in cost. For a marketing team that shares an inbox and needs approvals, the per-user model can still make sense, because you're paying for collaboration and customer care tools, not just scheduling.

The free trial and its limits

Hootsuite says you can try it free for 14 days with no credit card required, and cancel anytime with no commitment. There are limits during the trial worth knowing: trial accounts have daily posting limits of 10 to 20 posts per organisation depending on the plan, and bulk scheduling isn't available until you pay.

So if you test Hootsuite by uploading a month of content in bulk, it won't work during the trial. Test the inbox, the calendar and reporting instead.

Seats, accounts and who really needs a login

Because each user is a paid seat, it pays to be strict about who gets one. The person publishing and the person answering messages need access. A manager who only reads monthly results may not, if you can share reports instead. Standard lets you buy as many user seats as you need, so you can start with one and add more as your team grows, rather than paying for a full team on day one.

How you can pay

Hootsuite accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and JCB credit cards, and PayPal. For the annual Enterprise plan, it can invoice you, and invoices can be paid by credit card, check, wire or ACH.

How to choose a Hootsuite plan

  1. Count the people who need their own login, because each is a paid user.
  2. Up to 10 social accounts and simple publishing: Standard.
  3. More accounts or you want inbox automation and custom reports: Professional.
  4. Content needs sign-off, or customer care is shared across a team: Advanced.
  5. Use the 14-day trial to test the inbox and reporting, not bulk scheduling.

Hootsuite for agencies and in-house teams

Where Hootsuite earns its price is shared work. Advanced's approvals and message routing mean a junior team member can draft and reply while a manager signs off, and the reports show how quickly the team responds. If your business gets a steady stream of comments and messages that need answering, those customer care features are what you're buying. If you mostly publish and rarely reply, you're paying for tools you won't use.

My verdict

Hootsuite is a strong platform for teams that manage lots of accounts and share customer care, and Professional at $199 per user a month is where its automation starts to pay off. For a solo owner or a small business posting to a few accounts, it's hard to justify at $99 per user a month when lighter schedulers cover the basics. Count your users first, then decide.
