How Much Does Facebook Pay per 1,000 Views in Morocco?

Facebook doesn't set a fixed amount per 1,000 views in Morocco: Moroccan creators can earn through the invite-only Facebook Content Monetization program, with pay based on how eligible posts perform in a supported language such as Arabic or French. Meta pays out once you reach one hundred US dollars, and independent data suggests Moroccan views earn well below views from the US.

Good news first, because it surprises people: Morocco is one of the countries where Facebook pays creators. Plenty of Moroccan creators assume they're shut out and never check. The harder part is that what you earn per thousand views depends heavily on language and on where your viewers live, and both matter more in Morocco than in most places.

Morocco made Meta's Content Monetization list

Morocco appears on Meta's list of countries where Facebook Content Monetization is available. It's the program Meta uses to pay for eligible public Reels, photos, Stories and text posts. The older In-stream Ads, Ads on Reels and Performance bonus programs stopped paying on August 31, 2025, and eligible creators moved across.

Access is by invitation only. Invites turn up in the Facebook app, by email, in Meta Business Suite or in the Professional Dashboard. If you haven't seen one, Meta's interest form lets you register interest, though Meta says that isn't the same as applying and doesn't guarantee an invite.

Darija, French, Arabic, Amazigh: which posts can earn?

This is the section I'd read twice if I were creating from Casablanca, Rabat or Marrakesh. Morocco's official languages are Modern Standard Arabic and Standard Moroccan Amazigh. Darija is the language most people speak day to day, and French is often used in business and government.

Meta's list of supported languages for content monetization includes Arabic and French. Amazigh isn't on it. Meta also says content in a language that isn't supported may be ineligible, and Clip-Short's guide to Meta's rules notes that reels mixing more than one language may not be eligible.

What does that mean in practice? I can't find anything from Meta saying how it classes Darija, so I wouldn't assume. If your audience follows you in Darija, test it and watch which posts show as eligible in your dashboard. Where you can, keep each Reel in one language, whether that's Arabic or French, rather than switching between them mid-sentence, which many Moroccan creators do naturally.

Why Moroccan views earn less per thousand

Meta says pay depends on numerous factors it decides, including qualified views and watch time of eligible public content, and that amounts can change. There's no published Moroccan rate.

Meta doesn't publish a rate for Morocco, and I won't pass on guesses. Your Professional Dashboard shows what each eligible post earned once you're in the program, so the figure that matters is your own: earnings divided by views, then multiplied by 1,000.

The reason is advertiser demand. Advertisers pay more to reach audiences in high-spending markets, so the location of your viewers matters as much as the number of views.

Ways to lift your own rate

  • Reach Moroccans abroad. A French-language page that also attracts viewers in France or Belgium, or an Arabic page with Gulf viewers, may earn more per thousand views.
  • Hold attention. Reels must last at least 10 seconds, and anything watched for under 5 seconds doesn't qualify.
  • Post original work. Boosted posts, content with ads disabled and clips reposted from Pages you don't manage can lose eligibility.
  • Measure it. Divide your dashboard earnings by qualified views and multiply by 1,000 to find your real figure.

Receiving Facebook money in Moroccan dirhams

Morocco's currency is the dirham (MAD), issued by Bank Al-Maghrib. Meta's Content Monetisation Terms set the payout threshold in US dollars instead: one hundred US dollars for anyone living outside the United States. Lower balances can roll over from month to month until they reach it.

For a creator in a lower-demand market, that threshold takes longer to hit, so don't panic if a month passes without a payment. Meta aims to pay within about thirty days after the end of the month in which you cross the line.

Meta's terms say it'll ask for any tax ID, forms or certifications required by law, and may withhold amounts it's obliged to. I'm not able to advise on Moroccan tax, so please check with a local accountant how this income should be declared, and ask your bank how incoming US dollar payments convert to dirhams.

Because Facebook Subscriptions aren't openly available in Morocco, YouTube is the obvious second string. Morocco is on the YouTube Partner Program list, and my guide to YouTube earnings in Morocco covers how that side works.

If you create in Arabic for a wider regional audience, it's also worth comparing with what Facebook pays creators in the UAE, where the same program meets very different advertiser demand.

My action list for Moroccan creators

  1. Look for a Content Monetization invite in your Professional Dashboard, or send the interest form.
  2. Choose Arabic or French for each Reel and avoid switching mid-clip.
  3. Check which posts show as eligible, especially anything in Darija.
  4. Aim some content at Moroccans and French or Arabic speakers abroad.
  5. Work out your own earnings per 1,000 views monthly.
  6. Build a YouTube channel alongside Facebook.

A Reels dashboard makes it easy to see which language and format earn best for your audience.

Frequently asked questions

Is Facebook monetization available in Morocco?

Yes. Morocco is on Meta's country list for Facebook Content Monetization. The program is invite-only, so you need an invitation before your posts start earning.

How much does Facebook pay for 1,000 views in Morocco?

Meta doesn't publish a rate. Your own figure depends on your audience, watch time and the language you post in, and it shows in your Professional Dashboard.

Can I earn from Darija videos on Facebook?

Meta's supported language list includes Arabic and French, and Meta doesn't say how it treats Darija. Check which Darija posts show as eligible in your Professional Dashboard rather than assuming.

Does Facebook pay Moroccan creators in dirhams?

Meta's terms set the payout threshold in US dollars, at one hundred US dollars for creators outside the United States. Your bank handles conversion into dirhams.

Are Facebook Subscriptions available in Morocco?

Not openly. Morocco isn't one of the 37 countries where Pages can offer Subscriptions, and outside those countries Subscriptions are invite-only.
