You order an easypaisa debit card inside the easypaisa app: log in, tap My Account and choose Order new debit card. When it arrives, activate it and set the card PIN in the app under Manage Card, using the last 4 digits of the card, or by dialling *786#.
It's a chip and PIN card linked to your easypaisa account, so you can withdraw cash from ATMs and pay at shop card machines across Pakistan.
What the card does, and its limits
| Feature | What easypaisa's FAQ says |
|---|---|
| Type | EMV chip and PIN plastic debit card linked to your easypaisa account |
| Cash | Withdraw from ATMs round the clock across Pakistan |
| Shopping | Pay at point-of-sale card machines at shops |
| Reach | Over 16,000 ATMs and 90,000+ POS terminals in Pakistan |
| Abroad | Not usable outside Pakistan |
The catch: it's for Pakistan only
easypaisa's FAQ says the card can only be used across Pakistan. That matters if you were planning to use it on a trip abroad or for an international website. Use it for local cash and shopping, and keep a different card for anything outside the country.
How to order your easypaisa debit card
- Open the easypaisa app and log in with your PIN.
- Tap My Account.
- Tap Order new debit card.
- Follow the on-screen steps to confirm your details and delivery address.
If the button looks different in your version of the app, search the menu for Debit Card. Card charges are listed in easypaisa's schedule of charges, so check the current terms before you order.
How to activate it and set the card PIN
easypaisa gives two ways to do this. In the app:
- Log in to the easypaisa app.
- Scroll down to Get your easypaisa Debit Card on the main page.
- Tap Manage Card under the plastic card section.
- Enter the last 4 digits of your card.
- Enter your new card PIN, then enter it again.
By USSD, the FAQ lists this path: dial *786#, press 6 for My Account, press 5 for easypaisa Debit Card, press 2 for Create Debit Card PIN, enter and re-enter the new PIN, then enter your 5-digit easypaisa PIN to confirm.
Two PINs, two jobs
This confuses a lot of people. Your easypaisa account PIN, the 5-digit code you use to log in to the app and approve payments, isn't the same as your debit card PIN, which you type at ATMs and card machines. Keep them different. If someone learns one, they shouldn't automatically have the other.
Changing the card PIN later
easypaisa's FAQ says you can change the card PIN at any Telenor Microfinance Bank ATM using the Change PIN option, in the app under Manage Debit Card, or through USSD.
Using it at a shop
Hand the card to the cashier or insert it yourself. You may be asked to type your PIN on the card machine, and a receipt prints. easypaisa's FAQ adds a simple reminder that's worth repeating: take your card and your receipt back before you walk away.
If your card is lost or stolen
- Block the card straight away in the easypaisa app, through the helpline or by USSD.
- Call 3737 from Telenor or 042-111-003-737 from any network if you can't reach the app.
- Once blocked, order a replacement in the app.
Keeping the card safe
- Never share card details. easypaisa's FAQ says you should never share your card data with anyone.
- Cover the keypad at ATMs and shops.
- Check your easypaisa transaction history weekly for anything you don't recognise.
- Don't write the PIN on the card or keep it in the same wallet.
Card declined? Check these first
- Not activated: a new card needs activating and a PIN set before it works.
- Wrong PIN: you may be typing your 5-digit app PIN instead of the card PIN.
- Outside Pakistan: the card doesn't work abroad or on many foreign websites.
- Low balance: the card spends what's in your easypaisa account, nothing more.
- Blocked card: if you blocked it earlier, you'll need a replacement.
If none of those explain it, call the helpline with the date, time and place of the declined payment.

Finding an ATM or easypaisa shop
Your card works at ATMs across Pakistan, so any ATM showing the card network on your card should take it. For cash-in and cash-out without a card, easypaisa's FAQ says the app shows nearby shops: log in and tap cashpoints. The same FAQ points to a shop locator on easypaisa's website. It's worth checking before you travel to a smaller town, so you know where your nearest option is.
Getting paid and spending in one place
Many freelancers and online earners in Pakistan withdraw their income to easypaisa because it's quick to set up with just a CNIC and phone number. The debit card closes the loop: payouts land in the account, and you spend or withdraw with the card. Just remember the card is local only, so keep any international payment method separate.
Card or retailer cash-out?
You can still withdraw cash at easypaisa retailers without a card, and many people do. The card's advantage is that ATMs work at any hour and you don't have to hand your phone or details to a shopkeeper. The retailer route is handy where there's no ATM nearby. I'd keep both options open: carry the card for everyday cash and use a retailer when you're somewhere without an ATM.
Is it worth getting?
If you get paid into easypaisa, from freelance work, family transfers or earning apps, the card makes cash-out much easier than visiting a retailer every time. I'd get one, set a PIN that's different from your app PIN, and turn on SMS alerts.
