The Discord Shop is where you preview and buy profile cosmetics: Avatar Decorations, Profile Effects, Nameplates and Profile Frames. It's open to everyone, Nitro members get member pricing on select items, and anything you buy is yours to keep and use whenever you like.
The catch is bundles. Buy one item from a bundle and the bundle disappears, marked as partially owned, so you lose the discount on the other half. Orbs can't buy gifts or collab items, and anything you've bought can go if your account is suspended or deleted. Discord's help doesn't publish a price list either, because items rotate. Here's how the Shop works as of October 2026.

Items change periodically and some are only around for a limited time. One detail I like: Discord says the Shop doesn't use AI-generated art. Every item is designed by human artists on its own team or by its partners.
The bundle trap
Bundles group matching or complementary decorations from the same collection at a discount. That sounds simple, but the discount only exists while you own neither item. The moment you buy at least one item from a bundle, the bundle is no longer available and shows as partially owned. You don't get a discount on the remaining item.
So if you like both halves of a set, buy the bundle first. Buy one now and the other later, and you'll pay without the bundle discount for the second.
How to find the Shop
On desktop or in a browser:
- Select the Discord icon in the top-left corner to go to your DM list.
- Select the Shop tab, to the right of the server list.
- Or, select your avatar in the bottom-left corner, then Edit Profile, choose a profile cosmetic icon and open the Shop tab.
On mobile, tap your avatar in the lower-right corner, then the Shop icon in the upper-right. To look for something specific, use the search bar in the upper-right. Discord is also testing a Browse tab with sorting and filters such as Show only, Color and Themes, but it's an experiment on desktop only, so you may not have it.
Nitro pricing, gift card balance and Orbs
Only Nitro members get discounts in the Shop. They get special member pricing on select items and may get member-only profile items. Localized pricing is available for some Shop purchases and gifts; otherwise the purchase defaults to US dollars. If you have a Discord gift card balance, you can spend it on Shop items too.
Orbs are a separate currency you earn by completing Quests, and they have limits worth knowing before you save them up:
- What Orbs can buy: Nitro credits, exclusive Avatar Decorations and Profile Effects, an Orbs profile badge and select Orbs-eligible items.
- What Orbs can't buy: gifts, partner-branded collab items, or recurring Nitro or Boost subscriptions.
- How prices show: eligible items show both a regular price and an Orbs price, and the Orbs price shows first when you've got enough.
- Where: Orbs Exclusives are on desktop and browser only.
How to gift something from the Shop
- Pick the item you want to give.
- Press the gift icon next to Buy.
- Choose a card design, then add a note, a soundboard effect and emoji confetti if you like.
- Pick the friend and press Next.
If you buy a gift and don't send it, you'll find it under User Settings, then Gift Inventory. You can't send a friend an item they already own. And if there are duplicate unclaimed gifts of the same item, claiming one returns the others to the sender within 48 hours. Game Shops work the same way for in-game items: you can browse, buy and gift them from the Game Shops tab on desktop or in a browser.
Putting on an Avatar Decoration
- Go to User Settings, then Profiles.
- Select Change Decorations and pick the one you've bought.
- Select Apply, then Save Changes.
On mobile, it's Edit Profile, then Avatar Decoration, Apply and Save. If you use per-server profiles, you can wear a different decoration in each server, which is a nice way to get more out of one purchase.

What happens to the things you buy
Anything you purchase is yours to keep and you can use it any time, even after it's gone from the Shop. The exception is your account: items may be lost if your account is suspended, temporarily or permanently, or if you delete it. Discord's refund policy covers Shop purchases.
Is the Discord Shop worth it?
If you enjoy a personalised profile, it's a fair way to spend a little, because what you buy stays yours. My advice is simple: buy bundles whole, check whether Orbs could pay before you use a card, and don't feel you need Nitro just to shop, since the Shop is open to everyone.
