Voice of Customer Tools (2026): 10 AI and Survey Options

Voice of customer tools collect what customers say across surveys, support tickets, reviews, calls and chats, then group it into themes a product or CX team can act on. The newer tools use AI to read every channel at once, while older suites start from surveys. Ten options follow in no particular order.

Most companies already have more customer feedback than they read. It sits in the help desk, on review sites, in call recordings and in the NPS survey, and nobody joins it up. That's the job a VoC tool does.

The ten tools below are listed alphabetically and in no particular order, and every description comes from each vendor's own website, read as of Oct 2026. If you mainly need to collect feedback with forms and widgets, my guide to customer feedback tools covers that side.

Voice of customer platforms at a glance

I checked the free plan column on each vendor's own website, as of Oct 2026. Yes means the page names a free plan, a free version or an open source edition. Trial only means it names a time-limited free trial. Not stated means the page I read named neither, so check the vendor's own site before you sign up.

Ten voice of customer tools, from AI analysis to survey suites

Chattermill

Best for: CX and insights teams wanting every feedback channel, from reviews and social posts to NPS and CSAT, unified in one view with AI analysis.

Dovetail

Best for: Product, research and marketing teams wanting every feedback channel connected into one intelligence layer, with digital twins of customer segments built from real data.

Enterpret

Best for: Product managers who want feedback from every source classified by an adaptive taxonomy and linked to customer context before deciding what to build.

Forsta

Best for: Research and CX teams wanting voice of customer, contact centre and digital feedback alongside focus groups and crowdsourcing in one experience platform.

Qualtrics

Best for: Large CX programs capturing feedback across digital, contact centre calls, IVR, chat, SMS and email, then turning themes into action.

SentiSum

Best for: Support leaders wanting tickets, calls, chats, reviews and bot transcripts analysed together, with issues flagged before NPS drops or complaints pile up.

Siena Insights

Best for: Consumer brands on Shopify, Zendesk or Yotpo that want feedback turned into insights they can trust, plus automatic quality scoring of every conversation.

SurveyMonkey

Best for: Teams starting a VoC program with surveys, templates and a research panel before they need AI analysis across every channel.

Thematic

Best for: Insights teams wanting themes that emerge from the feedback rather than a fixed list, joined to account revenue so they can see which issues matter most.

Unwrap

Best for: Companies wanting support performance measured at scale and feedback insights shared across the whole organisation, with expert onboarding from day one.

AI analysis specialists now own the voice of customer label

Here's what I noticed reading the vendor pages. Most survey-first tools no longer use the phrase voice of customer on their home pages, while Chattermill and SentiSum describe themselves as AI-native and Qualtrics keeps a dedicated page titled VoC (Voice of Customer) Software.

Names are moving too. One page title reads formerly Idiomatic, now under the Siena name, so if a colleague remembers Idiomatic, it's the same product with a new badge and AI agents added on top.

Feedback analysis platform or survey suite?

  • AI feedback analysis. These tools pull in the tickets, chats, reviews and call transcripts you already have, then find themes and sentiment without you writing a survey. They're built for product and support teams drowning in unstructured text.
  • Survey-first suites. You design surveys at key moments, such as after a purchase or a support call, and analyse the answers. They're strong when you need structured scores like NPS or CSAT.
  • Research platforms. Built for researchers who run interviews and studies, and now adding feedback channels and AI on top.

How to set up a voice of customer program people use

  1. List every place customers talk to you today: support desk, reviews, sales calls, social and surveys.
  2. Pick the two channels with the most volume and connect those first.
  3. Agree a short list of themes with product and support, then let the tool suggest new ones.
  4. Tie themes to something the business tracks, such as churn, revenue or NPS, so people care.
  5. Share one short report every month with the issue, the evidence and who owns the fix.

Public reviews are the loudest channel you've got, and my guide to review management software covers how to collect and answer them.

Do you make a voice of customer or feedback analysis tool? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.

My plain advice on choosing a voice of customer tool

Start from the feedback you already have, not a new survey. If most of it lives in support tickets and reviews, trial an AI analysis tool on three months of real data and see whether the themes match what your team already suspects, plus one or two it didn't. If you need scores tracked over time across a big organisation, a survey-first suite still makes sense, ideally connected to the analysis tool.

And remember why it matters. What customers say in public shapes what the next buyer does, which my essay on how online reviews affect buying habits covers.

Frequently asked questions

What is a voice of customer tool?

It's software that gathers customer feedback from surveys, support tickets, reviews, calls and chats, then groups it into themes and sentiment so teams can see what to fix.

What's the difference between VoC and customer feedback tools?

Feedback tools mostly collect input through forms and widgets. VoC tools analyse feedback from many channels together, including text you didn't ask for, such as tickets and reviews.

Do voice of customer tools use AI?

Most do now. Several vendors here describe themselves as AI-native and use it to find themes, score sentiment and flag rising issues automatically.

Can a small team run a voice of customer program?

Yes. Start with one channel, such as support tickets, and a free trial of an analysis tool. Two of the tools here name a free trial on their own site.

How is VoC different from NPS?

NPS is one score from one question. Voice of customer covers everything customers say, including the reasons behind a score, across every channel.
