10 of the best Instagram tools
Do you want to get more out of your Instagram? As a business using Instagram, you need all the help you can get – from tools to help you create the most beautiful possible images to analytics tools to help you measure your results. So, in this blog post, I’m going to share 10 of the best Instagram tools that you can use to boost the results of your business.
With over 1 billion monthly users, Instagram is one of the top social networks that you can use to promote your business. It’s particularly great for getting more engagement, and for connecting with your fans and your audience on an even more personal level than on other social networks, because you do it through visual content, rather than just words.
Instagram is the perfect platform to let your creativity run free and, in fact, even have some fun in the process. To make your life easier and not only post better, more engaging updates but also save time and be more efficient, you should try some of the following tools.
I’ve tried to gather tools for different functions, so there are tools for managing your Instagram and scheduling updates, analytics tools, photo editors, AI photo editors and a couple of really cool tools that will help take your Instagram account to the next level. So, without further ado, here are my 10 top favourite Instagram tools for businesses:
- Agorapulse
- SocialInsider
- Iconosquare
- Social Bakers
- Social Rank
- Tagboard
- Have2Have it
- Repost
- InstaQuote
- Over
1.   Agorapulse
Agorapulse is a social media management tool that you can use both to manage your Instagram accounts and for monitoring. With the Social Inbox, you get all of your Instagram mentions along with any mentions from your other social profiles, all in one place. You can also use their publisher to post updates to Instagram directly from the Agorapulse dashboard, as well as to schedule posts in advance, to save time.
In terms of monitoring for Instagram, you can monitor hashtags and places, which is great for finding potential leads on the popular social network.
Plus, save groups of hashtags to quickly and easily include them in your posts.

With this tool, you can (multi) compare your competitors side by side, conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking, adapt your content strategy, measure your engagement rates and save countless hours on reporting.
3.   Iconosquare
Iconosquare is a social media management and analytics platform designed specifically for Instagram. You can use it to analyse your followers in detail, as well as see insights into how you’re losing or gaining followers so that you can identify the causes of your loss or gaining of followers. There are also analytics for hashtags, and you can see when the best times to post updates are so that you can maximise your reach.
In terms of managing your Instagram, you can use Iconosquare to post and schedule updates and to track any comments you receive.

One way you can use this app is to repost your fans’ and followers’ best content, which will ultimately help you improve their loyalty and also help you generate more engagement on Instagram.
9.   InstaQuote
InstaQuote offers one of the best apps I’ve tried for adding text to your images on the go. It’s great for simply sharing your thoughts, or for creating beautiful quote images that your followers will love. There are 20 different templates that you can use, as well as beautiful backgrounds (although you can also use your own photos as a background if you want) and multiple options for customizing your font style, size, alignment and much more. You can also edit your images and change the hue, saturation, brightness etc. or you can blur your background to make sure your quote or text really stands out.

Conclusion

Thank you for such a comprehensive list Lilach! I can also vouch for Agorapulse! We use the tool and love it. In addition, we also use Juicer’s social media aggregator (Juicer.io) to moderate and curate our Instagram content onto our website. It’s another great tool not mentioned here.

Thanks so much Katelyn 🙂 Great to hear you’re also using Agorapulse. I’m not familiar with Juicer.io – thanks for the headsup 🙂

Are all these apps for iPhone only? So far I’ve looked up Agorapulse, Repost, InstaQuote and Over and none of them mention Android?

Most of these tools you can also use on the desktop. I’m not sure whether they all work on Android and Iphone, I would imagine most of them do too

Do you have any tips on Instagram scheduling? I have always used Hootsuite for Facebook but have found it a little clunky for Instagram. I’ve tried a few different schedulers (paid and unpaid) and so far have found the Plann scheduling app really easy to use and so visually appealing. The thing I like about it is that you can plan your whole feed out and see how it is going to look before you post – so good for accounts that rely heavily on a solid aesthetic.

I use Agorapulse for my social media scheduling. I used to use Hootsuite years ago but found that their tool hadn’t evolved much and as you say is a little clunky. Plus the reporting features are better on Agorapulse.

Recently, Instagram has enhanced its photo sharing feature with 10 photos and videos accessibility.

Thanks Mahira. Yes it’s great to see how it’s evolving 🙂

This is a very informative article! Have you tried Onlypult.com? It’s a service for scheduling posts on Instagram which provides analytics and other features.

Hi Diana
Thanks so much 🙂 I’m not familiar with Onlypult – thanks for letting me know about it 🙂

Hi there! Thumbs up for Onlypult, mentioned by Diana – I use it for the last 5 months and have all my clients very happy and ton of time saved. I especially enjoy the possibility to manage up to 40 accounts at once (I have MANY clients) and super friendly support team.
Besides that, Iconosquare is quite a useful thing, too, and I will have a look at some other things you told about in the article, thanks!

Thanks Alexander, that’s good to know. Keep up the great work 🙂
