Figma to Code Plugin Options (2026): 9 Exporters Compared

A Figma to code plugin reads the frames in your design and exports them as front-end code, such as HTML and CSS, React, Vue, Tailwind, Flutter or SwiftUI. Which one fits depends on the framework your developers use, so check the output list first, then the Last updated line and any In-app purchase tag.

A Figma to code plugin saves your developer from rebuilding a design by hand: you select a frame and it writes the code. The nine here are some of the most installed on Figma Community, and the biggest difference between them is which frameworks they export to.

They're listed in no particular order. User counts come from each plugin's Figma Community listings, as of Oct 2026, and the framework lists are the makers' own. If you want the bigger picture on why design matters to a site, my piece on the advantages of web design is a good first stop.

What I looked at for each exporter

Each plugin's Figma Community page shows its users, a Last updated line, the maker and, for some, an In-app purchase tag. I've used those, plus the frameworks each listing names. None of these listings states a free plan on the page I read, so every row says Not stated, as of Oct 2026. That isn't the same as no.

Nine plugins that turn Figma designs into code

Anima

Best for: Exporting designs as HTML, React or Vue code with CSS, Tailwind CSS or styled components, with AI help, right inside Figma.

Builder.io

Best for: Generating code for a long list of frameworks, including React, Next.js, Vue, Angular, Swift, Flutter and Kotlin, with no special prep in your files.

Codelessly

Best for: Converting designs into working apps and websites in a full editor, from a listing that says Auto Layout isn't required.

Codia AI Figma to code

Best for: Turning Figma designs into code for the web and for mobile apps with an upgraded AI model, if your team builds and iterates quickly.

Figma to Code (HTML, Tailwind, Flutter, SwiftUI)

Best for: Converting layouts into responsive web pages in HTML, Tailwind, Svelte or styled components, or into mobile apps in Flutter or SwiftUI.

FireJet

Best for: Seeing the generated code and the rendered website side by side in Figma, with Tailwind, React, Vue, Svelte and TypeScript output.

Locofy Lightning

Best for: Building full apps, screens and components in React, Next.js, Flutter, React Native, Angular, Gatsby or Vue from your Figma designs.

pxCode

Best for: Getting responsive HTML, CSS, React, Vue or Tailwind code from new website designs, from a listing that says no Auto Layout is needed.

TeleportHQ

Best for: Exporting a prototype as HTML, React, Vue, Nuxt or Angular code, then publishing the site from the maker's platform with one click.

Start with the framework your developers use

  • Plain HTML and CSS for a simple site: almost every exporter here lists HTML, so choose on how recently it was updated.
  • A React or Next.js app: an exporter that names React and Next.js on its listing; several do.
  • A mobile app in Flutter or SwiftUI: one that lists Flutter or SwiftUI, which fewer of them do.
  • A Tailwind project: one that names Tailwind and says it writes responsive layouts.
  • A working site, not just code: a tool that also builds or publishes the app, rather than an exporter alone.
  • Files that don't use Auto Layout: one whose listing says Auto Layout isn't required.

No tag on the listing doesn't mean free

Here's the detail people skip. Only 2 of the 9 listings carry an In-app purchase tag, Codelessly and FireJet. The other seven show no tag at all, and that isn't the same as free: the listing simply doesn't say.

Work with me

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

Several listings also point you to the maker's own platform to finish the job, which is where any account and plan live. So before you build a team workflow around one, open the maker's site and read what you get without buying.

Exported code still needs a developer's eye

Treat the output as a head start. Ask your developer to check the code against the conventions in your codebase before anything ships, and name and group your layers clearly so the exported code is easier to read.

Check the Last updated line too. A design to code plugin depends on Figma and on the frameworks it writes, so one that hasn't changed in a couple of years is a riskier bet than one updated this week.

Do you make Figma to code plugins? Tool makers can ask to be considered for a featured place on this list.

My plain advice on picking a Figma to code plugin

Start with your framework, then shortlist two plugins that list it and run both on the same frame. Keep the one whose code your developer would rather work with. And check the maker's site before a whole team rolls it out, because the listing won't tell you what you get without buying.

Once code ships from a design, accessibility matters, so my web accessibility guide is worth a look.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Figma to code plugin?

It's a plugin that reads a frame in your Figma file and exports it as code, such as HTML and CSS, React, Vue or Flutter, so a developer doesn't start from a blank file.

Can a Figma to code plugin export Flutter or SwiftUI?

Some can. Several listings here name Flutter, and at least one names SwiftUI, so check the framework list on each listing before you install.

Is there a free Figma to code plugin?

None of the nine listings states a free plan on the page I read, as of Oct 2026, and only two carry an In-app purchase tag. Check the maker's site for what you get without buying.

Do I need Auto Layout for a Figma to code plugin?

Not always. A couple of listings here say Auto Layout isn't required, so check the listing if your file doesn't use it.

Is the exported code ready to ship?

Treat it as a starting point. Some listings call their output production-ready, but your developer should still check it against the rest of the codebase.
