The best CRM for B2B is the one that fits how long and complicated your deals are. Short, high-volume sales need fast calling and email; long deals with several decision makers need account records, stages and forecasting. Your CRM must also handle unsubscribes well. This page lists ten in no particular order, then explains how to choose.
Selling to businesses is slower and more tangled than selling to consumers. There's rarely one buyer: there's the person who found you, the manager who signs off, and the finance team who wants another call. A B2B CRM earns its keep by remembering all of those people and where each deal really stands.
These are ten CRMs for B2B selling in no particular order, sorted alphabetically, from light lead pipelines to configurable platforms for complex sales. Each description comes from the CRM's own website, re-checked today. If you're still deciding how your stages should look, this template for setting out pipeline stages is worth filling in first.
B2B CRMs compared
In the free plan column, Yes means the CRM's own site describes a free plan, Trial only means a time-limited trial without an ongoing free version, and No means the site points you to a demo or quote instead.

Business email still needs an unsubscribe
A lot of B2B sellers assume that emailing a work address is exempt from the rules. It isn't, at least in the US. The FTC's compliance guide to the CAN-SPAM Act says the law makes no exception for business-to-business email, and that you must honour an opt-out request within 10 business days. The guide also says each separate email that breaks the rules can bring its own penalty.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
So if your B2B CRM sends sequences, newsletters or bulk follow-ups, check three things before you buy: that every marketing email carries a working unsubscribe link, that an opt-out stops all future sequences straight away rather than in a weekly sync, and that your sender name and business address are added for you. Other countries have their own rules on top, so it's worth checking where your buyers are.
Short deals versus long deals
- High-volume inside sales: built-in calling, email templates and quick logging matter most.
- Long, multi-person deals: look for account records that link several contacts, plus notes everyone can see.
- Forecast-driven teams: look for stages with probabilities and reports your finance team will trust.
- Marketing and sales in one team: an all-in-one suite saves syncing two systems.
Choosing a B2B CRM: seven steps
- Map your real sales process from first contact to signed contract.
- List the people involved in a typical deal and what each needs to see.
- Shortlist three CRMs that match your deal length and team size.
- Import fifty real contacts and three live deals into each trial.
- Send a test sequence and check the unsubscribe works within the CRM.
- Build the one report your manager asks for every week.
- Ask the salespeople which one they'd open without being reminded.
Deliverability matters as much as compliance, so run through this checklist for keeping emails out of spam folders once your sequences are live.
Where B2B CRM projects go wrong
- Copying every field from the old system. Most aren't used; start lean.
- No owner. Someone's got to keep stages, fields and reports tidy.
- Forcing reps to log everything by hand. Sync email and calendar wherever you can.
- Ignoring marketing. If leads arrive from forms and campaigns, connect them from day one.

My plain advice on picking a B2B CRM
Small team with short sales cycles? Start with a free plan or a light pipeline CRM and only add complexity when your process demands it. A simple CRM people use beats a powerful one they'll avoid. Bigger team with long deals and several decision makers? Look harder at account records, custom fields and forecasting, and give the trial to the person who'll run reports every Monday.
Either way, test the boring bits before the shiny ones: importing contacts, logging an email, handling an unsubscribe, exporting your data. Those are the jobs you'll do every day, and the ones that cause pain when they're clumsy.

Frequently asked questions
What is a B2B CRM?
A CRM built for selling to other businesses, with records for companies and the several people involved in each deal, plus pipeline stages and forecasting.
Is there a free CRM for B2B?
Yes. Some CRMs describe free plans for small teams, with limits on features or users. Others offer trials of fourteen to thirty days.
Do email rules apply to B2B emails?
In the US, the FTC says the CAN-SPAM Act makes no exception for business-to-business email, and opt-outs must be honoured within 10 business days.
How is a B2B CRM different from a B2C CRM?
B2B CRMs focus on accounts, longer deals and multiple contacts per sale. B2C tools lean towards high volumes of individual customers and marketing automation.
Do I need a CRM with built-in calling?
If your team sells mainly by phone, built-in calling saves a lot of logging. If deals happen in meetings and email, it matters less.
How many users does a small B2B team need?
Count everyone who sells or manages deals, plus anyone who needs to see reports. Free plans often limit users, so check that early.
