If you want to hire an AI trainer for your company, look for someone who trains on your team's real work, in the tools you already use, and leaves people able to do it themselves the next morning. I'm Lilach Bullock, an AI trainer and implementation consultant with 23 years in marketing, and I run hands-on AI training and workshops for teams, online or in person.
By the time you're searching for an AI trainer, you've usually decided the team needs help. The hard part is choosing who. There are more AI trainers now than there were AI tools two years ago, and most of their websites say the same things. This page is how I'd judge them, including me.
Five things to check before you hire
- Do they ask about your work first? A good trainer wants to know your tasks, tools and team before they plan anything.
- Will they train in your tools? If you pay for Copilot, training on a different tool wastes everyone's time.
- Is it hands-on? People should do real tasks during the session, not watch someone else do them.
- Do they cover the rules? What's allowed, what data stays out, who checks the output.
- What happens afterwards? A follow-up, a summary, a next step. One session alone rarely changes habits.
Red flags
- A fixed deck they run for every client, whatever the industry.
- Promises of exact time savings or results before they've seen your work.
- No mention of data, privacy or checking AI output.
- They only know one tool, and it isn't the one you use.
- You can't find a single team they've trained before.
Formats that work
| Format | Best for |
|---|---|
| Hands-on workshop | A team learning to use AI on its own tasks, together. |
| Series of shorter sessions | Building habits over a few weeks, with time to practise between. |
| Talk or keynote | Getting a larger group interested before hands-on training. |
| Training plus automation | Teams where some tasks should be automated, not just taught. |
I run all four. If you need a talk for an event or all-hands first, see my speaking page. If you want the wider picture of getting a team ready for AI, see AI enablement.
What your team should walk away with
- Prompts and workflows for tasks they do every week.
- Clear rules on what's allowed and what data stays out.
- The confidence to try AI on the next task without help.
- A named next step, whether that's more training, a follow-up or automation.
Why teams hire me
I'm an AI implementation consultant first, so my training is built on what I see working in businesses, not on theory. This year I've run AI work for SaaS marketing teams, a product marketing team that wanted a practical Claude workshop, a telecom company asking for AI enablement and small businesses automating manual work. One of those teams found me by asking an AI assistant to recommend an AI consultant, which I'll admit made me smile.
Before AI, I spent years training and speaking on digital marketing. I've been listed twice as a Forbes Top 20 Social Media Power Influencer, named Oracle Social Influencer of Europe, spoken at over 100 events including TEDxBolton, and worked with brands including IBM, Twitter, Dropbox, monday.com and Greenpeace.
How it runs with me
- A short call about your team, your tools and what you want to change.
- I gather the tasks that take your team the most time.
- Hands-on training, online or in person, on those tasks.
- A written summary and a clear next step.
I don't publish prices, because scope depends on team size and format. For more on how I work with companies generally, see hire an AI consultant, and for broader training options there's AI training for employees.
The right trainer leaves your team needing them less. I run AI training and workshops for teams, and help businesses with AI enablement and workflow automation, so the busywork runs itself and people get time back. Most of that work is with SaaS marketing teams and small businesses. Here's how we can work together.
Frequently asked questions
Who are the best AI trainers for business teams?
Look for trainers who work on your team's real tasks in your own tools, cover data and review rules, and plan a follow-up. I run AI training and workshops for business teams on that basis, online or in person.
Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?
I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.
What should I look for when hiring an AI trainer?
Check they ask about your work first, train in your tools, keep it hands-on, cover the rules on data and review, and plan what happens after the session.
Can I hire an AI trainer for a small team?
Yes. I train small teams and small businesses as well as larger SaaS marketing teams. The session is built around whoever's in the room.
Should we hire an AI trainer or an AI consultant?
If your team needs to use AI better, start with a trainer. If you need workflows built and automated, you need a consultant. I do both, which helps when a team needs a bit of each.
Is AI training better online or in person?
Both work if it's hands-on. In person suits workshops where people learn from each other; online suits spread-out teams and shorter sessions.
Where can I hire an AI expert for my company?
Start with someone who'll ask about your work before quoting anything. You can book a call with me to talk through your team, tools and goals.
