A price tracker Chrome extension shows a product's price history on the shop page and alerts you when the price drops, so you buy at a low point instead of guessing. Some cover Amazon only and others many stores, so check which shops it supports, then its rating count and last update.
A price tracker Chrome extension adds a price history chart to a product page and can alert you when the price falls. That's the difference from a coupon finder: it tells you whether today's a good day to buy, not whether there's a code.
The eight here are listed in no particular order. Users, ratings and update dates come from the Chrome Web Store listings, as of Oct 2026, and the descriptions are the makers' own. To see how an AI assistant can help you shop, read my guide to ChatGPT shopping.
How I chose these eight trackers
I read each store listing for its users, its rating and the number of ratings behind it, the last updated date, the publisher and the privacy practices line, plus the shops it says it covers. I haven't put them through their paces myself; this is a shortlist from the listings. The free plan column says Yes only where the listing names free use, as of Oct 2026. Not stated means it didn't say.

Eight price history and alert extensions
AiPrice(AliPrice) Price Tracker
Best for: Tracking product prices across e-commerce websites, with a 4.8 rating from 697 ratings on its listing as of Oct 2026.
Buyhatke
Best for: Checking price history, comparing shops and finding auto coupons in one extension, with a spending view its listing calls Spend Lens.
Fallen Price
Best for: Following prices on Amazon, eBay, Walmart and other major shops, from a small listing that says it won't collect or use your data.
Glass It Price Tracker
Best for: Getting price drop alerts and history checks, plus stock and custom monitoring, though the listing was last updated on August 29, 2024.
Keepa
Best for: Adding price history charts and drop alerts to every supported Amazon site, if Amazon is where you do most of your shopping.
Price History
Best for: Seeing price history, buy advice and drop alerts for Amazon, Flipkart, Croma and 1000+ stores, with free use named on the listing.
Price Tracker
Best for: Watching prices on any online store and monitoring pages for changes, from a listing with a 4.9 rating from 663 ratings as of Oct 2026.
Price Tracker 2.0
Best for: Setting price drop alerts and reading history charts on shopping sites, with an auto buy option named on the listing.
The most installed tracker isn't the highest rated
Keepa has the most users here, 5,000,000, with a 3.4 rating from 5.1K ratings, as of Oct 2026. Buyhatke has a 5.0 from 7.2K ratings with 1,000,000 users.
Both rating counts are big, so neither is a tiny sample. The difference is what they cover: one listing names all supported Amazon sites, the other names price history, comparison, auto coupons and alerts while you shop online. Pick by the shops you use, then let the recent reviews settle it.

Amazon only, or lots of shops
- You mostly buy on Amazon: a tracker built for Amazon's sites, with history charts and drop alerts.
- You shop on Amazon, eBay and Walmart: a multi-store tracker that names them on its listing.
- You shop on sites such as Flipkart and Croma: one that lists those stores by name.
- You want codes as well as history: a tracker that also finds coupons; for codes alone, a coupon extension does that job.
- You want to watch a page that isn't a shop: a tracker that also monitors page changes.
- You keep an eye on a competitor's stock: one that lists stock tracking and custom monitoring.
Whichever you pick, set alerts only on things you'd buy anyway. A drop alert on something you don't need is just one more reason to click buy, so keep the watch list short and the alerts useful.
Once a price drops to where you want it, our comparison of Chrome coupon extensions covers the tools that look for a code on top.
Read the small print on alerts and links
One listing here says its links may be affiliate links, and another offers auto buy. Neither is a problem in itself, but read the listing before you switch either on, so you know what the extension does when you click through or when a price drops.
Check the Privacy practices box too, because a tracker sees what you shop for, and look at the last updated date. One of these hasn't changed since 2024, and shops change their pages often.

Plain advice before you pick a price tracker
Install one tracker that covers the shops you use most, set alerts on the few things you're waiting to buy, and leave the rest. Before a big purchase, look at the history chart: if today's price is near the bottom of the line, buy; if it's near the top, wait for the alert.

Frequently asked questions
What does a price tracker Chrome extension do?
It shows a product's price history on the shop page and can alert you when the price drops, so you know whether to buy now or wait.
Which price tracker extensions work on Amazon?
Most trackers here list Amazon. Some cover Amazon's sites only, while others add eBay, Walmart, Flipkart or many other stores.
Are price tracker extensions free?
One listing here names free use, as of Oct 2026. The others don't say on the listing, so check the free plan column and the maker's site.
Is a price tracker the same as a coupon extension?
No. A tracker shows price history and drop alerts, while a coupon extension looks for discount codes. One or two here do both.
Should I use a price tracker and a coupon extension together?
You can, because they do different jobs, but check they don't both pop up on every product page. If your tracker already finds coupons, you may only need that one.
