MailerLite Pricing: Plan Limits and How Subscribers Are Counted

MailerLite has four plans: Free at $0 a month, Comfort starting at $12 a month, Power starting at $25 a month, and Enterprise on custom pricing for businesses with over 200K subscribers, as of October 2026. What you pay on Comfort or Power depends on how many subscribers you have and how much you send, not on which features you get.

Here's the catch. The Free plan stops at 250 subscribers, and when you pass it, MailerLite locks sending for your campaigns and automations until you upgrade or remove people. And on paid plans, your subscriber count is cumulative inside each billing cycle, so deleting people halfway through the month doesn't lower that month's bill. These are MailerLite's US prices; the page also shows euros, and readers in other countries may see different numbers at checkout.

MailerLite plans and their limits

MailerLite says its pricing is based on usage rather than feature access: you pay for the number of subscribers and the volume you send, and its best tools are included on every paid plan. Here's how the plans line up on its pricing page, as of October 2026:

PlanStarts atKey limits per MailerLite
Free$0 a month250 subscribers, 2,500 monthly emails, 2 user seats, 1 website, 1 landing page, 3 active forms
Comfort$12 a month3 user seats, 50 automations, 10 forms, 10 sites, 5 digital products
Power$25 a monthUnlimited seats, emails, automations, forms and sites, 24/7 live chat support
EnterpriseCustomOver 200K subscribers, dedicated success manager, dedicated IP as an add-on

The $12 and $25 are starting points. As your list grows, the price on Comfort and Power moves up with your subscriber count, so use MailerLite's own slider on its pricing page to see the figure for your list size.

What each plan adds

Free

Free covers up to 250 subscribers and 2,500 monthly emails, with 2 user seats. You still get campaigns, automations, a website, a landing page and signup forms, plus all 3 email editors: drag and drop, custom HTML and the simple editor. Support is through the knowledge base.

Comfort

Comfort adds unlimited templates, dynamic emails, campaign auto-resend, multivariate testing, an unsubscribe page builder, a preference centre, the AI writing assistant and smart sending. Its limits are 3 user seats, 50 automations, 10 forms, 10 sites and 5 digital products.

Power

Power lifts almost every cap. You get unlimited user seats, monthly emails, automations, forms, sites, digital products and bookings, plus multiple automation triggers. It also adds partner discounts, including 15% off Google Workspace, and 24/7 live chat and email support.

Enterprise

Enterprise is custom pricing for businesses with over 200K subscribers. MailerLite lists custom sending volume, a dedicated success manager and a dedicated IP as an add-on.

How MailerLite counts your subscribers

This is the part that trips people up, so here are MailerLite's rules in plain terms:

  • Only active subscribers count. Unsubscribed and bounced contacts don't count towards your bill.
  • The count is cumulative within each billing cycle. Any address that's active at any point in the cycle counts, even if you delete it later.
  • The count resets on your billing anniversary. That's when a clean-up starts to make a difference.
  • Paid plans move up a tier automatically. If you pass your subscriber limit, the limit rises and your card is charged for the next pricing tier. MailerLite sends you a notification when you're getting close.
  • Free plans lock instead. Pass 250 active subscribers on Free and sending is locked for campaigns and automations until you upgrade or remove subscribers.

So if you want a smaller bill, clean your list before your billing date, not in the middle of the cycle.

Monthly or yearly billing, and switching plans

The pricing page has a toggle between billed monthly and billed yearly, and MailerLite says you save 10% by paying yearly, as of October 2026. Prices are in US dollars or euros and may be subject to applicable taxes.

Want AI doing the heavy lifting in your marketing?

I build the systems that handle the boring 80 percent, so you get your week back. Done properly, with the human kept in.

The switching rules are worth knowing before you choose:

  • Monthly to annual takes effect as soon as you complete checkout.
  • Annual to monthly only takes effect once your annual plan has expired.
  • Downgrades start at the next billing cycle.
  • Only one discount can be applied at a time. MailerLite mentions annual and nonprofit discounts.

Starting with MailerLite in five steps

  1. Start the 14-day free trial. MailerLite doesn't ask for a credit card.
  2. Import your list. Your count of active subscribers sets your tier.
  3. Pick Comfort or Power from the Billing and Plan tab.
  4. Check your cumulative subscriber count before your billing date.
  5. If you want to downgrade, do it for the end of the cycle.

A few things that aren't in these plans

Transactional emails aren't part of these plans. For those, MailerLite's pricing page points you to MailerSend. On the AI side, MailerLite groups its AI writing assistant, AI landing page builder and AI A/B testing under the name HeyLite intelligence. It also offers MCP server access, which lets tools like Claude and ChatGPT manage your email marketing; that's limited on Free, with full MCP and API access on paid plans.

My verdict

MailerLite is the cheap, gentle option for a small list. The Free plan is plenty while you're under 250 subscribers, and Comfort from $12 a month, as of October 2026, gets you the features most small businesses use. The bills only start to bite as your list grows, so keep it clean: remove unsubscribes and dead addresses before your billing date, because anyone active during the cycle still counts.
