HubSpot Marketing Hub is HubSpot's lead generation and marketing automation software, and you can start on its free tools without a credit card. The paid editions start at $10 a month per seat for Starter, $100 for Professional and $175 for Enterprise on HubSpot's US page, as of October 2026.
Here's the catch. HubSpot shows that $10 Starter price next to $20, with a note that the discount is for new customers and only for a limited time. And the feature many people come looking for, AI search visibility, doesn't appear until Professional at $100 a seat. These are HubSpot's US prices and terms; UK, Australian and Canadian readers will see local numbers on their own HubSpot site.
What Marketing Hub covers
HubSpot splits Marketing Hub into three jobs: growing awareness, converting the people who turn up, and measuring what earned you revenue. Everything sits on the HubSpot CRM, so your contacts, forms, emails and reports share the same records instead of living in separate tools.
If you're still deciding whether HubSpot's free tier is enough on its own, start with what HubSpot gives you for nothing. This page is about what Marketing Hub adds as you move up the editions.
Editions and starting prices
HubSpot's pricing block lists four editions, each priced per seat each month, as of October 2026:
| Edition | Starting price per seat a month | What HubSpot lists for it |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | Email campaign automation, an AI assistant, live chat |
| Starter | $10 (shown beside $20) | Calls-to-action, automatic data updates, removing HubSpot branding |
| Professional | $100 | Content personalisation, AI search visibility, a customer agent |
| Enterprise | $175 | Revenue tracking, multiple accounts, data access controls |
Read the table from the bottom up and you can see who each tier is for. Enterprise is about control: tracking revenue, running several accounts and deciding who sees which data. Professional is where the AI and personalisation tools live. Starter is the tidy-up tier, mainly worth it to drop HubSpot's branding and add calls-to-action. Free already automates email campaigns, which is more than many people expect.
HubSpot also offers a 14-day free trial of its marketing tools, plus demos of the premium editions, so you can test Professional before paying for it.
Growing awareness: content, social and answer engines
The awareness tools are where HubSpot has added the most AI. According to the page, you can:
- See how your brand shows up in answer engines, with suggested next steps.
- Create blog posts, social content and landing pages grounded in your brand voice, audience data and competitor research.
- Shorten forms automatically for returning visitors, so people don't retype what you already know.
- Manage your social channels from one inbox.
- Find anonymous website visitors by fit and intent.
That last one is worth a second look if you get decent traffic but few enquiries. Knowing which companies visit, and whether they match your ideal customer, gives you somewhere to start.
Turning visitors into leads
Once someone lands, HubSpot's conversion tools take over. The page lists 24/7 capture of visitor interest, personalised automated messages across channels, nurture emails rewritten for each contact using CRM data, outreach on WhatsApp and SMS, and website personalisation driven by what the CRM knows about the visitor.
The idea is simple. Instead of one nurture email going to everyone, each contact gets a version shaped by their own record. For a small business with a mixed audience, that's the difference between an email that feels written for them and one that feels like a blast.
Campaign planning with Breeze
HubSpot has a marketing studio and a campaign agent that plan a campaign from a goal you give it, using your brand, your audience and how past campaigns performed. Breeze Assistant, HubSpot's AI assistant, handles planning, content and nurture work alongside it.
If you'd like to see how HubSpot fits into a wider plan before you buy, this HubSpot marketing strategy walkthrough covers it.
Measuring results and revenue
On measurement, HubSpot lists built-in analytics, custom reports and dashboards, multi-touch revenue attribution and customer journey analytics. Revenue tracking specifically is listed on Enterprise.
HubSpot shows its own customer results on the page: a 167% increase in website traffic after 6 months, and 83% of users increasing conversion rates. Those are HubSpot's figures about its customers, so treat them as the vendor's claim, not a promise.

Where AI search changes the picture
This is the most interesting line on the whole page. HubSpot says AI search answers simple questions before people click, which means fewer visits overall but higher purchase intent from the people who do visit. That's an honest line from a company that sells traffic tools, and it's worth planning around: fewer clicks, but better ones.
HubSpot's answer is the AI search visibility feature on Professional, which shows how your brand appears in answer engines and what to do next. If that's the main reason you're looking at Marketing Hub, budget for Professional, because Starter doesn't list it.
Integrations and the wider platform
Marketing Hub has a bi-directional sync with Salesforce, and HubSpot says there are more than 2,000 integrations in HubSpot's app directory. It's also one part of a bigger platform with Sales Hub, Service Hub, Content Hub, Revenue Hub and Data Hub, and HubSpot says using two or more hubs connects the data automatically.
If you mostly want email newsletters, compare it with a lighter tool first. This HubSpot vs Mailchimp comparison shows where each one makes more sense.
Getting started in four moves
HubSpot says teams can run campaigns the same day. Ad tracking and SEO setup take longer, because you have to connect your advertising platforms and give HubSpot access. A sensible order:
- Start on the free tools, or take the 14-day trial if you want to test the paid features.
- Connect your CRM data so contacts and history are in place.
- Build one form and one email campaign, and check they work together.
- Add reporting so you can see which campaign brought in which contacts.
My verdict
Here's where I land. Marketing Hub is a good fit if you already run your contacts in the HubSpot CRM, because everything plugs into the records you've got. Free and Starter cover email, live chat and branding for very little. The problem is the jump: the tools people are most excited about, AI search visibility and personalisation, sit on Professional, and going from $10 to $100 a seat is steep for a small team. I'd start free, use the 14-day trial to see whether Professional's AI search feature earns its place, and only move up if it does. And don't plan your budget around the $10 Starter price, because HubSpot says that discount is for new customers and for a limited time.
